Talking today about why 3 shot groups aren’t good for testing the accuracy of your rifle.

I mocked up a couple 3rd group possibilities out of this 10rd group from the IWI Tavor using M855.

First is the tightest 3rds, if you saw this you’d think the rifle is a 3/4 MOA gun. It’s not even close…

Second is probably what you’d see more of. Which would leave you to believe this rifle shoots under 2.5 MOA. This rifle barely prints that with match ammo.

3rd is the actual 10rd group. Over 3 MOA.

4th is a 3rd group from when I was zeroing this rifle at 50yds. With this group you’d assume it’s a 1.5 MOA gun with M855.

This example of the Tavor SAR 21 is realistically a 2-4 moa gun. First group is with M855 second is with 77gr smk match ammo. This doesn’t come as a surprise to me after having shot this a decent amount now. Also the shift in impact is pretty significant between the 2 groups

As you guys know I’ve been on a 7.62x39 CZ Bren 2 kick as of lately. I’m ecstatic that ‪@ForgottenWeapons‬ got to go to GIGN HQ and give clarity on why they chose this rifle, setups etc. it’s a great watch.
