But in their own books, earlier narrations say the Prophet told Ali:

“You are my brother in this world and the next” (Tirmidhi 3720),

“You are to me as Harun was to Musa” (Bukhari/Muslim), and

when he prayed “O Allah, send me the most beloved of Your creation,” it was Ali who walked in (Tirmidhi 3721).

One Prophet, one Harun, one brother in dunya and Akhira.

So be honest: which sounds original, and which sounds like a late upgrade for Abu Bakr?
