Carl Baldassarre
Carl Baldassarre is an award-winning composer, guitarist, and 2023 Grammy-contending artist with nearly 50 years of experience. A Cleveland native, he gained recognition as the guitarist for Abraxas and progressive rock group Syzygy. His latest project, The Baldassarre Rock Orchestra, blends classic rock with orchestral arrangements for a fresh sound.
Baldassarre has worked with musicians from both classical and rock worlds, including the London Symphonic Chamber Orchestra, Tower of Power, Tears for Fears, Genesis, Chicago, and more. He studied composition under Dr. Marshall Griffith at the Cleveland Institute of Music and is a product of the Cleveland Music School Settlement and John Carroll University.
On his YouTube channel, called the “Professor of Classic Rock,” he shares educational content on music theory, history, and nostalgia. Specializing in Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page, he also analyzes music from The Beatles, Deep Purple, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, and more.
