7 hours on the phone with ‪@bluehost‬ customer support and still no resolution, and no contact from their advanced technical support team either despite two separate times being told that the advanced team would be in touch. Easily one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had with any company.

This may sound cliché, but I want to share an insight that has helped me immensely in both music and life in general.

It’s the simple idea that:

The most successful people are those who have failed the most.

In other words, if your path includes failure after failure, that means you are walking the road to success.

My life changed when I shifted my mentality to “Every failure is a success! I’m going to give myself a gold star and allow myself to feel a sense of accomplishment every time I fail because I know I am one failure closer to success!”

I have applied that mentality to everything in my life, and whenever I feel frustrated that I’m not able to play something as well as I’d like, or I don’t get a good reaction to my content, or even when I get dumped by someone I like, I remind myself that I’m one practice session closer to nailing it, one post closer to something totally viral, one relationship closer to the one.

And yes, this is also cliché, but you do learn so much along the way.

So keep failing every day. Fail as much as you possibly can as you keep trying to get where you want to be. Each failure is one step closer to success.
