Youtube will now put a notification directly under the thumbnail if the video contains AI. In other words, we won! Yes, I realize this system will not be correct all the time, but this is a major improvement.

I am going through every channel I have subscribed to and if they use AI generated thumbnails, I unsubscribe. AI in the creative space is a weed and to get rid of it we need to get it out of the soil with the entire root. Edit: I am also asking Youtube to not show me those channels anymore.

Have you noticed how many youtubers now have very fancy thumbnails? Take a good look at their face in the thumbnail and you will see it’s AI. Youtube is now offering to design an AI thumbnail based on your video. A feature I will not be using.

I am adding the "NO AI" badge to my Viking video thumbnails again. People seem to like them and they are telling Youtube that we are fighting AI and that we are not giving up. If someone fails to read the "NO" part of that badge, well ... I just can't adjust my creative work to people with no attention span at all.
