Stars of the Lid announce today the remastered 30 year anniversary reissue of their seminal debut album, Music for Nitrous Oxide, set for release on July 25 via Adam Wiltzie’s Artificial Pinearch Manufacturing imprint. Grammy-winning sound engineer Francesco Donadello has remastered the album’s nine tracks for the reissue. Pre-order via lnk.to/MFNO-LP

To mark the anniversary, the album has been pressed on vinyl for the first time, following the original CD release by Rob Forman’s Sedimental Records back in 1995.

The reissue will be available on marble brown and black double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, as well as on CD.

For this piece we felt a thirst to return to the simplicity of where we began.To find the sound of our own minuscule nature within our universe, floating weightless in cosmic indifference.Writing within the elements of piano & a vintage synth, which became the string quartet & guitar drones, & recording them all to capture time in an acoustic space
