In today's video I am sharing my TOP THREE skills to develop to be the best girl boss possible!


I am also sharing my techniques for developing these skills so that you can practice developing these skills immediately!


1. Time Management - You are going to need to schedule everything. Yes everything! Talk to successful entrepreneurs across the globe and they will tell you they schedule it all. You can auto-schedule events that take place regularly like laundry, family meetings, homework times with the kids. And weekly, set your schedule for your work items like strategy sessions, social media planning, brunch with your friends, you name it - if you're doing it, it's on the calendar. This may seem like overkill but it's necessary. The truth is you already do all the activities, but part of the reason it's so stressful is that you aren't strategic about how you are scheduling them. So book your own time like you book client time and stick to it. My favorite app - Google calendar!


2. Resilience - You are going to hear the word NO often in entrepreneurship. You will fail A LOT. It's a part of success, whether we like it or not. If you aren't failing often odds are your goals are too small. Especially as women, we tend to shrink ourselves to make other people feel more comfortable - to fit society's mold. UH UH that stops for you right NOW. I want you to practice FAILING ON PURPOSE. How? You are going to seek out ways every single week to fail. That means trying something you are sure you won't be able to succeed at - a really difficult recipe, a much heavier weight at the gym, applying for a job you aren't qualified for, etc. This will teach you to be comfortable with falling short and allow you to learn the important lessons from failure. You either WIN or you LEARN - no losses in business. Just GROWTH.


3. Problem Solving - Successful #girlbosses seek out problems that people don't know they have and try to solve them. If you can find a valuable solution to problems that affect people's lives, and solve them - you have instant business value. This can be a hard concept to grasp and it takes a lot of practice to get better. In this video I am sharing one of my favorite ways to practice this - think of your favorite local shops, restaurants, and brands. Go visit them, or reflect on your last visit. What could they have done better? If that were your business how would you make their problems better? I have been to a juice business and thought man I wish they had more comfy furniture and more plugs with free wi-fi - I'd come more often and buy more drinks and work for a little while. #brandloyalty
