I’m happy to report that there’s finally been some progress in my autism diagnosis journey! I’ve had two appointments so far and have many more to come, so it’s going to take months before I get any results, but at least things are moving forward now ☺️

I’m curious to know, how long did you have to wait for your assessment process to start after getting a referral? I was initially told that I would have my first appointment within 6 months of getting the referral, but I ended up waiting almost exactly 2 years and 4 months!

I just spent a few days replying to and “hearting” a bunch of your comments from months ago, which is weird, but let me explain 😅

It’s been bothering me that I have so many comments that I haven’t reacted to in any way, especially the ones that I’ve been meaning to react to. I know it sounds silly, but from the start I decided to reply to every single comment in the order that I received them. At one point, I started getting a lot of comments and couldn’t stay on top of them anymore because of overthinking, procrastination or simply needing more time to reply. I got stuck in a cycle where I couldn’t reply to any new comments before replying to older ones and I felt overwhelmed, so I stopped replying altogether. And I feel really bad about that. It also felt wrong to simply “heart” a comment when it’s a very long and thoughtful one, without properly replying to it.

I know that there are so many creators who don’t reply to comments at all or only reply to a few. I don’t know why I’m always complicating things for myself 🙈 I wish I could reply to all of your comments, of course, but I guess I just have to accept that it’s not realistic.

Anyway, I thought I would reply to some of the older comments that have been on my mind, so I can move on and try to let go of these “rules” that I created for myself. And I thought that telling you about it might help too 😊

I hope that me sharing this doesn’t stop you from commenting on my videos. Please keep commenting when you feel like it, because I genuinely love and look forward to receiving your comments. I read every single one and appreciate them very much ❤️ I will still keep replying to as many as I can, but I’ll try to be less strict with myself about it 🙂

P.S. Whoa, that was like a whole essay 😂 But it honestly felt quite freeing to write this all down. So it’s okay if no one even reads this 😂

Hi guys! I hope you’re all doing well and having a good year so far!

I definitely did not plan to disappear from YouTube for so long and not post a single video in 2024 🙄 However, I did film little clips throughout the year for the “1 second a day” video, which I’ve always wanted to make. It will be up on Sunday. It might not be too relevant anymore, but I spent way too much time on it not to post it 😅 It’s also not an autism related video, but I still want to share it with you ☺️✨

It’s the last day of 2023…

This year has been very hard. My family and I had to face something no one should ever have to face. I’ve grown a lot as a person, but I wish it didn’t have to take these experiences for it to happen.

Despite everything, there are many things I’m grateful for this year. I’m glad that I started this channel when I did and I’m so thankful for this awesome community that we’ve built together! I know I haven’t been too active on here, but I’m hoping to keep creating videos whenever I can in the new year.

Whatever you’re going through, know that you’re not alone. I wish all of us that all the hardships, illnesses and worries stay in the old year and let’s only take the best with us into 2024!
