The Unity Asset Store sale ends today. Have any of you picked up something you can recommend to others? If I had to pick just three from the list of my own recommendations, I'd pick Editor Console Pro, Odin Inspector and I2 Localization - they fit into every project and make life easier.

I made a list of favorite picks from the Asset Store Spring Sale which started today. All of these I have worked with before and enjoyed doing so; maybe you can find something for your projects in there as well? Link in first comment :)

The initial 5 of my UI guides are going to be on the topics: Dropdown, Scroll Rect, Input Field, Canvas and Anchors - and they currently sit at 123 pages in total.

I am now in the process of making the last checks and will hopefully be able to make them available next week!

People asked about Layout Groups, which I will cover in the next guide (if I can see there is an interest for written tutorials and explanations like this) and of course there will be one on TextMesh Pro and Typography in general somewhere down the line. My initial list of topics that could get their own guides sits at 25 :D

64 likes for turning my tutorials into PDFs? Looks like there is a level of interest there - awesome! I've been at work since and have the first four guides almost done: Canvas, UI Anchoring, Input Fields and Scroll Rects (all in all already 99 pages!). I think I will create one more before I finalize everything and start uploading them. Apart from Button and Text, which will be lengthy guides in and of themselves and will come at a later point, which topic would be one you would love to see?

I'm turning my video tutorials into written guides!

And while I am smoothing out some edges I come across, I wondered: what would you be looking for when getting the written guide? I will put them on itch and kofi to purchase and want to make sure people get their money's worth. Each guide is about 20-30 pages currently. Here are two examples from the guides about Scroll Views and Anchors (still not done polishing, but they're good enough for a first glimpse :D).
Each will have large images with annotations, some clarifying graphics, sidenotes (and some even tangents), code and links to other useful materials.

There is currently (and over the next fourteen days) a Synty Store Sale going on, you can find my affiliate link in the pinned comment. I really enjoy their packs and you can see how I worked with their stunningly beautiful Biomes 2 set in my Down the Mountain Devlog, or the great Street Racer asset pack in my TrackSanity devlog. Their packs enabled me to quickly create fun prototypes and I think they pack a ton of value into every pack they release. Maybe there's something for you on sale, too 🌟

Hi everyone! đź‘‹

I've been asked before if I’d be willing to give in-depth feedback on games and projects for small teams and hobbyists—and I’m excited to help out! You can find more info about this paid offer in the link below, but here's a quick rundown:

When you book a session with me and share your UI beforehand (whether it’s still in Figma, already in a game engine, a complete design, or just a part of it), I'll take a close look. In a second step, we'll meet up (or I'll give you my written notes, however it would work best for you) and go over my detailed feedback. I’ll point out what’s working well, what might need some tweaks (and why), and suggest areas that could use a bit more polish to make your game really shine. UI is such an important part of games and a thing your players interact with a lot, let's give it the spotlight it deserves 💛 My goal isn’t just to hand you a list of steps, but to help spark those “aha” moments so you can take what you learned from one place to others inside this or future projects. And if you have any specific questions, I’m happy to dive deeper into those, too.

For a glimpse of what this can look like in practice, check out the case study linked below. The developers Twisted Twenty behind Dating & Dragons recently asked for feedback on two key parts of their (truly awesome-looking) game: the game's Feat cards and the character display.

You can find all the details on my website in the comments.

Looking forward to connecting with you!

This is so awesome! Thank you to everybody who clicked on subscribe for my channel. It means more to me than you might have realized at that time đź’› I had hoped to cross 5k this year and it feels so good to see people enjoying my videos and explanations. I love teaching and explaining things and seeing people think "hey, yeah, this comes in handy" is just so cool. Honestly, when I started, I had been majorly nervous about making a tutorial channel about gamedev with coding as a woman, but I got so many great comments and amazing feedback from so, so many of you đź’› Onwards to the next goal!

My good friend hooch is developing a super adorable and fun game called Berry Berry Festival and it can finally be wishlisted on Steam! I seriously recommend you give it a look, it is packed full of charm and so, so much love. During testing, it made me laugh and giggle a ton, the story is nice and the characters seriously charming. I mean - look at those emotions!
The game tells a wholesome and heart-warming story about a young girl who wants to become the Berry Berry Champion of her small town. Explore and help the residents with odd jobs to prepare for the Berry Berry Festival!

You can easily find it on Steam if you look for Berry Berry Festival đź’› (Linking there would just make this post not show up for you, sorry)

I'm really looking forward to releasing tomorrow's video! I think it's going to be the longest I've done yet and it has been a blast to work through and figure out how to teach to others. Big thank you to ‪@AnEmortalKid‬ , who put the whole topic on my radar - I had totally overlooked that part of UI for my list of tutorials :D
