Made it to Lehi, UT and begged the girls to stop at Swig to try the dirty sodas. I got a Buttery Beer, Amy got a Texas Tab, and Katie got a Guava Have It, plus we got the mini chocolate chips. It was a fun experience! We're now 200 miles from our final stop in Moab!! Virgin maragitas and chips and salsa date, after shopping, cleaning out the boat, putting the pantry mostly together, taking out trash, filling water tanks, reading,filling cabin space, finding stickers, and getting to know the dockside community. Its been a fun 3ish hours for all of that. Michael makes life really fun and I love him! Love celebrating special moments 😊
Please dont pinch me, I am already awake and this is what I get to see. This is my life. I think I fell in love with Michael all over again last night, and with life. I laughed so hard my cheeks were hurting. We all got to sit on the top deck and see the moon and stars and enjoy silence. I found out that 9:05 is pooping hour for my neighbor who looked at me, and then ran in front of me to use the bathroom for 45 minutes haha I also found out we have more storage room than I thought and that I love gentle movements of the boat after my nausea goes away. I'm loving it yall. #kempfinale
Sai Ping is a cool little area to visit along the water. We had just gotten done with a big day and almost skipped it, but instead Michael spotted this beautiful little restaurant and we stopped in for cocktails and coffee. They placed a sprig of rosemary in mine which was very interesting. After resting, we rested some more, I got a Thai massage while Michael and Judy got feet massages. I cannot recommend getting a Thai massage enough. Whatever Heaven on earth is for you, this was it for me, it was like a perfect lemon bar with a cup of peppermint tea on a warm summer morning, no bugs,with 90s country playing in the background. It was perfect is what im trying to say. The shirts were small for this bigger lady but the ladies were super sweet and worked with it. They also gave us tea and a small biscuit after which was so tasty. Michael snoozed through his massage and we all went away happy. Such a wonderful time!
Dantewada Land of Angels Waterfall Park. This place came out of a faerie tale. From the outside it doesnt look like much and then you walk in and you've stepped into a different world. Everything was beautiful. Michael got Honey toast? It was wild. Thai coffee is so incredibly strong for my lil baby tummy lol I loved it but lanta its strong. We spent about 45ish minutes hanging out there and Michael bought me carrots to feed bunnies and I had the time of my life, and then we looked further and found tiny goats you can feed also and my hate for goats went out the window. They were close to the same size as my cat almost and I loved them. Such a beautiful day.
We went to my first Michelin suggested restaurant, "The house by ginger." It was incredible. The appetizer platter Michael ordered was so good. I ended up loving Morning Glory, along with pretty spicy food. That passion fruit drink was incredible and the Tiramisu? Lanta, so light and fluffy. Such a fun night out in Chiang Mai
Two nights ago-I think-Thailand kinda makes you forget how time works, we finished the night with a Tuk Tuk tour around Bangkok. We stopped at the flower market that is open 24/7/365, learned how to fold lotus leaves, and ended the night in China town eating Pad Thai. It was incredible. If there are 3 lanes for traffic here, the Thai people make it 5, folks are consistently swerving in and out, and the cyclists and moped drivers lane split like crazy its insane to watch. The Queen passed last fall, but is still remembered and honored and memorialized months later, with her picture posted everywhere. Everyone has been so kind and I found out I'm addicted to St Pina Coladas. There's not even alcohol in these bad boys, I've drank so many that I think my blood type has officially become Coconut Positive. The heat is high, and we are thankful for every shred of shade we find, every water bottle that is offered, and every piece of AC we can find. Happy Monday or Tuesday or whatever day ends in the letter Y where you are. Sleep well my lil Tessites.
