Yesterday on march 31st 2025, Air Canada 889 took off from London Heathrow to Ottawa for the first time in over 5 years. This is the first time since a scheduled direct flight between these 2 airports has flown.
Next week on March 31st, 2025, Air Canada will resume direct flight service from Ottawa to London Heathrow after 5 years, with the last flight being on march 19th, 2020.
Breaking News: There has been an accident at Toronto’s Pearson airport, involving a delta airlines CRJ-900 from MSP, carrying 80 passengers. The airplane was landing, when something happened & causes it to wing strike and flip over. There was visible smoke & parts of the airplane ripped off, 8 injuries confirmed so far. More updates slowly coming out. Fire & rescue crews were already on standby when the aircraft was landing, which suggests that there was an issue before the aircraft actually touched down.
Major flight cancellations in Ottawa as a major snowstorm and blizzard roll in throughout the late night and early morning on the 12th to the 13th. Expecting 40cm, and 5cm per hour.
School transportation has also been cancelled through the entire city of Ottawa, and there is a road parking ban for 2 days.
Yet ANOTHER airplane has crashed in Philadelphia. This time it was a Learjet 55. It crashed at extremely high speeds right next to a major mall and homes. It ignited a major fire & killed everyone onboard the airplane.
There is likely deaths on the ground, as this is a super populated area & there is many houses that have caught fire due to it. Again, this just happened and basically everything is unknown now.
