Finally got a first video summary of our Sangay expedition back in January done. I had to leave out a lot of footage to keep this video under 10 minutes, so there's probably enough material for another post later on. I came to see the volcano, but ended up having just as much fun with the jungle and the wild rivers - and the feeling of being the only humans within at least a 10km radius covered in pristine rainforest and cloud-covered mountain ridges. Definitely one of my favorite adventures so far!

I'm back from a week-long expedition at the secluded Sangay volcano at the edge of the Amazon rainforest east of the Ecuadorian Andes. Trekked through ash-ravaged jungles and crossed wild rivers to bring you the closest ever views and pyroclastic flow footage of the ongoing eruption - video coming in the next couple of weeks, working on it right now! And yes, it will include drone footage.
