During Black History Month, I want to intentionally bring awareness to Black women who’ve been overlooked, especially those who didn’t fit a certain mold or image at the time.
Claudette Colvin is a perfect example. She was only 15 years old when she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus—months before Rosa Parks. What many people don’t know is that Claudette’s case was actually used to help build the legal foundation that ended bus segregation.
This isn’t about taking anything away from Rosa Parks at all—both women matter. But it is about acknowledging how colorism and respectability politics have shaped which Black women get remembered and which ones get pushed aside. Claudette was dark-skinned, young, outspoken, and from a working-class background, and that played a role in her story being minimized.
So as we celebrate Black history, let’s make room for all of it. ESPECIALLY for the Black women whose contributions were essential, even if they weren’t centered.
Let me be clear, because this isn’t about anyone else’s comfort. If you were dealing with people posting real or fake intimate videos of you, exposing your credit information, sharing your home address, dragging your family into it, and spreading Social Security numbers..how would you handle that?
I was doing this work to be helpful. I was not being paid. So yes, I expect compensation. There is no reason I should be subjected to harassment, doxxing, and real-life danger simply for providing information. At a certain point, the logical choice is to stop sharing it altogether. especially when the people closest to me are being put at risk for helping people who may not even care.
Due to my content being heavily viewed and reused while I receive no compensation, I’ve decided to slow down production until my website is live. I’m no longer willing to generate revenue for others without being paid for my work. NO MONEY. NO DL WHISPERER.
I’m so tired of these face tune, old, decrepit Ponks coming for me. Sir you need Ozempic along with many other things. You use so many filters and face tune that it’s crazy. You’re walking around with fake hair on your head. Look at your beard. You think anyone believes that’s your hair on your head? You can’t even grow a beard. Imagine being 50 years old worried about me. You are JEALOUS and simply wish you could be me.
