Quiet Geological Vessels

These two vessels came out of the kiln recently - one finished with a very thin clear glaze, the other left more raw and matte. I’m interested in how small surface changes can completely shift the atmosphere of a form.

Lately I’ve been exploring geological textures, erosion, and the relationship between calm exterior forms and material transformation through firing.
