Wow! So Minelab just started shipping the Manticore, and have announced two new Equinox models as well! Equinox 700 & 900. New shaft, armrest, improved waterproof rating, depth pitch audio, expanded target ID range, built in search light. I've ordered a 900 to play with, so looking forward to hitting the beaches.

So it's the 1st of November here, last month of spring, and it's freezing cold and still wet wet wet! I'm normally gold detecting a lot now and starting to even hit the beaches. Oh well, still plenty of sP01 enhancers to build, and I can get to work on some more videos. Next up is part two of the Evo patch, where I go back with the 15" Evolution coil, and then let the 7000 loose and see what it can pick up. Hope we see some spring weather soon.

Our next video is uploading. Start of a new patch, found a few years ago. The raw footage had a lot of separate video clips, with lots of wind noise, cameras toppling over and all sorts, so I put it in the too hard basket. Finally had time to sit down and edit it. Quality isn't the greatest, but it was a good day out so have to share.

I did a talk this week at a local Detecting club about finding gold with a metal detector. I really enjoyed it. A big focus was on becoming a good prospector, because no matter how good your detector is, and how experienced you are with using it, if the gold isn't under your coil, you won't be coming home with any.
