Anybody remember this magnum opus? I really don't! It was released when I was in high school but I never saw the video on MTV because by then people were eating up Sisqo's The Thong Song because Britney's Baby One More Time was still stuck in their head. That couldn't have been the only reason I never saw this video on MTV. Precariously it shows up on YouTube NOW because of what has been discovered about these two since then. R. Kelly - Aaliyah being 14 when he married her, him coming under suspicion over her death in a plane crash, went to court and eventually was sentenced over using teenagers as toilets on video in the early 2000s, then ten years later, going back to jail over being discovered to have engaged in similar behavior to even more teenage girls. Diddy - Came under suspicion over Pac AND Biggie, has a criminal business track record, a quiet reputation comparable to Suge Knight, and a reputation for criminal/trafficking parties dating back to before Pac and Biggie were killed, sued by Cassie Ventura over abuse, she won, and of course the recent discovery to which the judgement may be officially pending, but the people have drawn their conclusions based on presented history available in the grand internet archive of Diddy footage.
Also, I heard two seconds of this and realize that they rip off Oakland based rap legends Luniz's 1993 hit "I got 5 on it" Screw you Diddy. So it was him that started that rip off sampling trend of rapping over other rapper's beats they've already recorded in a song! This is why subsequent generations are wise about guys like these doing music these days.
