One Man And His Boat
Welcome to our channel. "One Man And His Boat" is about myself, Barry Brunton, and the 'Lynsey B', our Cygnus GM21 creel fishing boat. We will document our adventures, from the arrival of the boat, the fit out, the launch and our fishing adventurers off the historic Scottish harbour of Dunbar.
We'll be showing some of the sights and the wildlife to be found in this part of Scotland. We'll also be featuring the other boats that work out of Dunbar and speak to some of the characters in and around the harbour.

Baz Is Back! In the first video of 2026 Baz takes the Lynsey B to sea to check on his creels that have been lying in deep water since Christmas. With storms blowing through SE Scotland he has to see if there is any damage to his creels and whether there have been any 'Ball Ups' due the wind and the tides. Good morning everyone. Just a wee heads up that unfortunately there is no vlog this week (10th Jan) as the weather has been against us. But that is winter fishing for you, it doesn't always go your way.
Fingers crossed that we will get out next week and we will hopefully have a vlog ready for next Sat the 17th Jan but we will have to wait and see. 😊😊😊

🥳🎊🎉 Happy Anniversary 🎊🎉🥳
Can you believe it has been 7 years since we decided to take the step into the unknown and create a Facebook page to document our journey of building our own Cygnus 21. At that point we hadn't even really thought ahead to actually working her. This was shortly followed by our Instagram page and in the February our YouTube Channel was established.
Its been in some ways 7 very long years, as there have been some extremely challenging and hard times, and putting yourself out there for everyone to see and critique isn't always the easiest, as there is always someone ready to drag you down but that in turn has made us more resilient and even more honest if thats possible.
But in a lot of other ways these 7 years have passed in a flash, as we have gained and grown our OMAHB family, YOU our followers and friends. YOU are the people who lift us up on the downs days, on the days we feel like stopping the videos (there has been a few of them 😂😂), on the days that the fight to earn a living this way just seems to much, YOU are the ones that send us the comment or message that cheers us up, that shows us we are making a difference no matter how small, and shows that people do care. We appreciate every single one of you, even the ones who aren't so nice (as as they don't seem to realise that giving our videos thumbs downs and negative comments, still count into our vlogs analytics and helps us in the long run..😂😂).
So THANK YOU to everyone single person, that follows us or has subscribed to any of our platforms. Thank you to those that comment and like our content. Just thank you to you all because without you our OMAHB family, we wouldn't be able to do any of this. 😊😊

That is the Lynsey B tied up safely in the Old Harbour and the OMAHB Team are downing tools for a few weeks. Time to spend some quality time with our families and friends and to not worry about fishing, boats, filming and editing vlogs... 🫣😂
You will have an extra full length vlog on Tuesday 23rd Dec and then I'm afraid that will be it until around about the 10th Jan (weather permitting). Both Barry and Jeff have worked extremely hard this year to keep you entertained with all things OMAHB and the haven't missed a Saturday since mid January..so i think we can let them have a couple weeks off...😂
We would also like to take the opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to everyone single person that follows us and watches our vlogs, who says hello down the harbour or wherever you see us, for all the comments, likes and shares. And mostly for the encouragement and support that you give us throughout the year. It truly does mean the world to us. You are all absolute superstars. So thank you..😊😊😊
And finally we look forward to welcoming you all back aboard in the new year, for hopefully another bumper year of vlogs and posts, and we hope you all have an amazing Christmas and New Year, however you choose to enjoy it. See you in 2026..🥰🥰🥰
