15 years of millisecond pulsar data was used to analyze the universe's gravitational wave background, and how it may be influenced by orbiting Super Massive Black Hole pairs. The small green dot of light is a flash of lightning in the clouds of Jupiter. The image was captured by the@NASA Juno mission. A citizen scientist, Kevin M Gill, sorted through the image data to find this gem. Flashes of lightning surround us, but it's up to us to find them. Never stop digging for the gems in your life.

The far side of the moon, captured by the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR). The moon is dark gray, like a newly paved road. It looks pale only against the much darker night sky.
I've got some exciting videos planned for this week--recent discoveries about humpback whale songs, the neolithic copper trade in Europe, and newly mapped radio filaments in the galactic center.
