Also, I really appreciate everyone being so patient with me as I got this next part out. When my dad needed open heart surgery, a lot of things went on hold as I helped care for him during his recovery. ⁠

Second, I wanted to take this opportunity to reintroduce myself! I've got quite a few new subscribers, so here's 5 things you may not know about me:⁠
1. I received my bachelor's degree in Journalism, learning how to edit photos and video in my classes.⁠
2. I gave up my career in the video post-production world to help my mom care for her mother (my Oma) for 4 and a half years. ⁠
3. I'm happily single, never married and child-free in my early 40s. But I am a proud dog mom to two small pups, Magnus and Jax. And yes, I live with my mom--she's super cool and our home is a bachelorette pad filled with crafts, baked goods and girl dinners!⁠
4. I'm the cool aunt--I have two nieces and a nephew that I love to spoil and absolutely adore!⁠
5. I've been playing flute and piccolo for over 30 years and can hold my own with some top notch players in my area. I was in my local Youth Symphony in high school and even got to perform in the Sydney Opera House! Now, I play in a local wind ensemble and a flute quartet with my 3 flute besides. Oh, and my flute quartet has commissioned a piece from one of our favorite composers--so exciting! ⁠

Here's a little peek at my next embroidery project in process...with a little side of sass! (Honestly, there is not enough fabric in the world for me to stab with a needle and thread to make me feel better about the state of things, but it's still therapeutic! 🤪)⁠

This embroidery pattern was created using the Sizzix Vicki Boutin Floral Layers Stamp and Framelit Set (667074). When I share the completed project, I share the process of creating the layered crescent moon shaped floral wreath pattern with all these individual stamps, so stay tuned! Embroidery floss is from DMC. ⁠
