“Today,” a young Lily would say, “I performed ballet with a Tyrannosaurus-Rex, and then-“ HOLD IT!
“Lily,” my befuddled parents would inquire, “is this story real, or make believe?” “Make believe,” I would reply. Though, come on, it was totally real.
As a young girl, when my parents asked me how my day was and what I did, it would constantly involve a dinosaur. It became that, whenever I would kick into storytelling mode, or just simply be random, my parents would call it “The Lily Factor”. Then I would tilt my head and yell, “DING!” We often joked that someday I would create a website or platform called just that, so when I decided to join social media, well, The Lily Factor felt like an appropriate domain name.
I am still an avid storyteller, and I’m putting that to use through art and animation, which is what this YouTube channel showcases! Art processes, experiences, tutorials, and more, all for your entertainment! After all, it is,

This lil’ guy is stoked because he knows he’s about to make his big debut on the internet.
GUYYYYYSSS, I finished the storyboards on Tuesday, created a thumbnail for the video on Wednesday, and recorded the voice over today! All that’s left is to record some b-roll footage, edit and add parts to the video, edit some more, editing too, and then it will be good to go!!!!! Did I mention I still have to edit stuff?
Words cannot express how excited I am. Hee hee! I still can’t say for certain when this video will be ready, but it will be worth the wait!

Update time! I know it’s been a little quiet over here in the land of the factor, but the lack of content isn’t from a lack of creating content, but rather the opposite!
I am absolutely determined to finish my big video project before the new year because I do NOT want this project to spill into another year! By the grace of God, in spite of depression, I have had motivation to churn out boards this week. But not just that! I’m drawing faster and am finishing more boards than I’ve ever been able to before. Plus, the boards look better and clearer than ones I had spent twice as much time on in the past! I’ve gone from having completed 76 boards to 120 boards this week. I only have 45 boards left to draw!! I don’t have a release date yet, but I am praying and am determined to have the video finished by December 31st at the very latest! Here’s a sneak peek of some of the boards.
Just know that I probably won’t be sharing any content for a bit until this project is done. :)
Anyhow, that’s my update! I’m so incredibly grateful to God for answering my prayers in motivating me to finish this project, and I can’t wait to share it with you all soon!

Okay, so I was but a silly little goober getting into Ninjago, wanting to share my silly little fan art, but thinking “psh. No one will want to see thaaat.” I put up a poll just to prove myself right and dang it you guys! You all proved me wrong! So thank you! :) Now I have both motivation aaaand an excuse to share some fan art! I’m working on a silly animation, but we’ll see how it goes. I don’t know for sure if I’ll finish it. I’ll probably share some shorts drawing the characters too. We shall see! I can’t guarantee anything because motivation is so few and far between but please know your support literally helps me get out of bed.
I really appreciate all your votes on the Ninjago art content you want to see. I look forward to sharing some art soon! In the meantime, enjoy the drawings I’ve done of some of the characters recently, plus a tease of the animation I’ve been working on today. *smiles giddily*

I now know YouTube can mute shorts and threaten to remove them because of music attached THROUGH YouTube. Why even have that feature if the music can be removed at any time and result in getting any videos using it removed? Why can’t I simply just remove the remixed music and keep my original audio? I wouldn’t be THAT bothered by it if it didn’t happen to a video made and released specifically on and specifically for an anniversary! Ughhhhhhh. 😭😭 Anyhow, if you see my Sonic Chronicles short make a reappearance next week, this is why.

Soooo I’ve been trying out Magma for the past week, and I’m absolutely addicted to it. (Thank you @KittylonArt for recommending it to me!) I’ve been churning out artwork left and right. I’m really enjoying getting to create with others, try out color palette challenges, draw myself having a midlife crisis on a bus, draw dragons, game characters, and so much more!
I’ve been using Magma as my art therapy this week, taking a break from YouTube and art projects, preserving my mental health. I do have videos in the works, and of course, I’m still working on storyboards for the big video project. That’s the update! Below are some of the artworks I’ve created on Magma. Which one is your favorite? Mine is probably a tie between NiGHTS and Beat.

“When your iPad projects artwork from Procreate onto your Home Screen for the first time and it just happens to be the storyboard you were about to get back to work on glaring at you for procrastinating.” It genuinely caught me off guard. 😂
I FINALLY started to focus and managed to knock out a great amount of boards for my magnum opus video today. It’s so much fun getting to see my jokes amplified with a single drawing. I’ve made many boards I’m VERY proud of that I want to share SO bad. Sadly, they give away too much… Instead, enjoy some spoiler-free teasers. 43 boards drawn, 121 to go. 😮💨
