"This is not PvZ1, don't treat it like it was"

Maybe because there are certain expectations that come attached if PopCap is going to call a game "PvZ3"...?

Honestly, the smartest decision from PopCap would be just dropping the "3" from the PvZ3 altogether at this point, because clearly they don't care enough to make a proper sequel even after... 7 years. Yes, it's been that long

And also, PvZ2 is free, and does not have all these stupidly boring levels or such a lack of plants to choose from. I mean, come on, 7 years on, and we can't even put in the same amount of effort to make a game that's half as good

Plus, the idea that the "hate" is "forced" is quite funny because I'm literally just bringing up how there are many intentional design choices that just make pretty much zero sense. There's no sane person who is writing descriptions of plants that would decide that the hit speed of a plant should be called its "ability cooldown"

And also, if you really do think that I'm criticising them too much, then maybe there has been a lack of awareness of the fact that these issues are being criticised because uh... they've been present for the past half a decade and been continuously unaddressed

And that's all, while the game removed a bunch of plants that were perfectly fine, like Blast Choy, Tingling-pult, Tangle-pult and even Snow Pea. Like, can you believe it if I told you that there are literally no merges for Tangle Kelp anymore, other than its self-merge, and the same with Potato Mine, which now can only merge with itself or Sunflower? For a game about evolving plants together, they seem really keen on making sure you can't do just that

Also, I could go on about how basically none of the content creators' feedback sent in private to EA has been heard, and instead the game seems to be evolving backwards, which is exactly why I feel the need to criticise the game because it's not like the developers are not aware of these issues but they seem to actively choose not to address them

Either way don't see how PvZ3 is gonna go anywhere at this rate, and I highly discourage anyone from even playing this forsaken game because there's literally nothing to do since you practically unlock nothing, and the game gets stale insanely fast

Folks who have played the newest build of PvZ3, is there a way for you to ACTUALLY unlock new plants without just sitting there and watching 1000 ads?

Based off what I have looked for, you can't get seeds any other way than by waiting in the Zen Garden, and if you don't want to wait, you have to pay gems for hearts, energy, and skip time, but currently, there doesn't seem to be a way for you to actually get gems other than watching ads or clicking on the "earn gems" button, which redirects you to some in-game app store that lets you earn gems by downloading games. (Like, what is this am I looking at)

I'm genuinely confused if you can actually unlock ANY PLANTS from just playing the game, or if nobody has actually managed to do anything in this forsaken game so far

Like, I can't even make content on the game because there's literally no way for me to earn any seeds and nobody wants to watch me plant tier 1 bop choys in a game literally about evolving plants

Oh yeah also they just straight-up removed Snow Pea Tangle Pult Snow Bellista and Tingling Pult from the game based off what I've briefly seen... like why bother making a new patch if it's just about removing more features than it is adding them

It's almost like the entire game is just evolving backwards

If someone has a solution for the non-existent progression, please post it in the comments below

‪@SeanieDew‬ Actually, as of September 16 2025 (which was after I made my "Levels I Could Not Beat" video), the last unbeaten level in Total Death Edition was beaten legitimately (Level 7-10), so actually it does *technically* satisfy your criteria of where all levels are possible!

As for the Sunflower Zombie levels, I'm fairly certain there is some specific tech with using a Virtual Machine that lets you set up an environment where the game is less likely to crash, according to some of the more try-hard players, but they are all technically possible to beat. Now technically speaking, there's a bit of ambiguity with World 8 to World 10 as part of the "main campaign" since it's actually part of the 2nd campaign but simply are new levels that replaces the old World 1 to World 3 levels, but most people count it as new levels as the level itself is basically completely different. (And if you don't count these then the entire mod is definitely possible)

So if you want the hardest technically possible, it is, in fact, Total Death Edition, as all the levels have now been proven possible to beat, because there are no "impossible" levels. (Every level has been beaten by at least 1 person)

You might have to spend literal months on certain levels to learn the specific strats for them, as many levels were previously deemed impossible and only made possible with incredibly advanced strategies later. (Later, as in after I was done with the mod) People have dedicated months on just certain levels, so you could play the mod on normal mode rather than hard mode if you wish for someone more "chill" (hard mode is the difficulty I did for the TD mod since normal mode is significantly easier) but I don't think that would satisfy the criteria.

And no, PvZ Fusion does not even come close to the "hardest possible PvZ mod" as some people would believe.

Good luck on Total Death Edition!

EDIT: just FYI, 40 crumbs does not satisfy the specific conditions as 2-5 and 3-10 are completely impossible, and RT is unfinished (no mini-games) and BMEX+ technically has an impossible level as well due to the snake mini-game being glitched. The best candidate is therefore Total Death Edition.

Just watched a video about a Minecraft server's black market for in-game items, where the YouTuber interviewed some kid over Discord after purchasing their service(s) to ask about how they run their underground store and stuff by using their subscriber count to gain credibility, and the guy being interviewed asked to stay anonymous for obvious reasons.

YouTuber then went on to not blur the name in the video, said "it was too much effort," and then proceeded to promote a sponsored product after paying that kid only 10 DOLLARS to skip school and build a base for them in the video.

Honestly, that might've been one of the most messed-up things I've ever seen a journalist or reporter do...

edit: imagine admitting to paying a child to make your minecraft base in a black market, then ask them to answer your questions by using your fame, then let them skip school to do work for you for 10 dollars, then capitalise off their work with your own video WITH a sponsor and completely disregard their request to have their name be blurred because "it was too much effort"

The new PvZ3 update is actually crazy

Never would've thought Zomboss HP zombies would be canonical in an official PopCap release of PvZ3

EDIT: Based on my own calculations Basic Zombie has 13.5k HP at Level 20 difficulty ramping (which is for all levels between 104-200) but the Almanac has been pretty inaccurate thus far for numbers. I'll leave the specifics for dataminers, but I can comfortably tell you it ain't pretty

I bought the game on Steam. And it seems like their launch day patch bricked everyone's game on Steam making everyone stuck on the "EA Login" screen. Unironically literally unplayable. Dear god.
