Arvind Dharmapuri is a first time Parliamentarian from Nizamabad, Telangana and an emerging leader in state politics. He is also a successful entrepreneur in construction and warehousing and a philanthropist. He played first class cricket and has represented the state at the national level. As an ardent follower of PM Narendra Modi, his foray into politics was propelled by his strong commitment to serve the country. His father is currently an MP, Rajya Sabha from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi party and was earlier a minister in the INC-govt in the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh.Arvind, however, evolved independently in the BJP. He asserts that though his ideology resonates with the BJP, PM Modi is the sole force behind his entry into electoral politics. He defeated the daughter of the CM of Telangana and former MP of Nizamabad,Kalvakuntoa Kavitha along with a record number of 184 candidates in the 2019 elections. He is a member of the standing committee on commerce in the Lok Sabha.
