Hello everyone! We have a very bittersweet announcement to make: OAR will be closing its doors in the next few months.

This channel was always intended to be a non-indefinite venture; something we could use to make content together and boost our own solo careers during the height of Epic and other related projects.

Now that the project that built us up and gave us our name has been done for over a year, and we’ve made our way through all of the musicals on our initial list, we pretty much had two options; pivot in a new direction, or call it an enjoyable experiment and move on. Between Mortius’ IRL directorial debut this February, lots of new series on their solo channel, and Stories from Styx continuing to ramp up, it’s a pretty good time to focus on our solo ventures again.

Our Monday and Sunday slots have already finished up, and only our Gravity Falls series will continue until its conclusion, at which time the OAR channel will stop uploading content. While we’re sure this is a big surprise and disappointment to lots of folks, this is a decision I’m honestly really happy with. OAR has been wonderful, but it’s also been a lot, and we’re really looking forward to having that time back to dedicate to our solo channels and our lives outside content creation.

A: Apparently more than two, because both of us were so vacation-brained we didn’t even realize we didn’t have a Friday video ready until after it was supposed to go up 🤣

This change will allow us to include mid-roll ads on those videos, an important part of our revenue stream, while also easing the workload for our moderators, who have been managing live chats three times a week for the past year.



Don’t worry, this won’t affect your viewing experience at all. You’ll just get the full video right away instead of having to time it with the premiere.

However, when we CAN control it, do you guys prefer low opacity with no obscure, or full opacity with text covering?
