මෙම සැත්කම සහ ඉන් පසුව වසරක කාලයක් ඉන්දියාවේ රැඳී සිට සිදු කළ යුතු කථන පුහුණුව සඳහා රුපියල් එක්කෝටි තිස් ලක්ෂයක (ලක්ෂ 130) විශාල මුදලක් අවශ්‍ය වේ. සාමාන්‍ය රාජ්‍ය සේවකයන් වන එම දෙමවුපියන්ට තනිවම එය දරාගත නොහැකිය. එම මුදල සොයා ගන්නට ඔවුන් අප සියලු දෙනාගේම සහයෝගය ඉල්ලා සිටින්නෙමු.

At A/Thammannawa Welusumana Maha Vidyalaya, our school’s Civic Education teacher, Mr. Prasath Chinthaka Herath, and Ms. Anuruddhika Maheshi, a teacher serving at A/Siri Seelawansa Maha Vidyalaya, have a 2-year-old little son who has been suffering from a severe hearing impairment since birth. As a result, he is unable to speak as well. 😔

Although they consulted many leading doctors at major hospitals in Sri Lanka, they were informed that no successful treatment is currently available in Sri Lanka for the child’s condition. Following medical advice, they took their son to the Madras ENT Research Foundation (MERF) Hospital in Chennai, India.

After detailed examinations, specialist Dr. Mohan Kameswaran stated that through a special Cochlear Implant surgery, the child can be given the gift of hearing and speech. ✨

However, the cost of the surgery and the mandatory speech therapy for one year in India amounts to LKR 13 million (130 lakhs). As ordinary government servants, the parents are unable to bear this enormous expense on their own. Therefore, they humbly request the support and kindness of all of us to help raise this amount.
