Hello, everyone! Well, this is going to be a rather belated November Update, because December is a quagmire of business, from work to being ill (again). So let's do a little catch up.

In full length videos, Guillermo del Toro finally made his version of Frankenstein; Edgar Wright red-adapts Stephen King’s The Running Man; and Benoit Blanc is back in the latest Knives Out, Wake Up Dead Man!

In Shorts, Guy Pearce transports a girl who can kill by touch in Killing Faith, while a group of Australian soldiers in WWII are stranded in shark infested waters in Beast of War!

Elsewhere, for ‪@AllisonPregler‬ and ‪@phelous‬, I edited their look at the surprisingly dark and weird Christmas classic, The Santa Clause. And I’m still deep in Tim Allen’s North Pole this month, so expect that quite soon…

I’ve also got a crossover that's coming close to completion, so expect that soon! Hope to have some more videos when I’m up to it, wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season. Here's a picture of me looking a bit odd on my birthday recently.

Regardless of how you feel about the new Street Fighter teaser, it can't get any worse than this.

Wake Up Dead Man, the new Knives Out mystery, is now on Netflix! Watch it, and check out my review. Or watch my review, and then watch it. But the important thing is to watch it. https://youtu.be/WHSEHbdk8FA

I edited ‪@AllisonPregler‬ and ‪@phelous‬ looking at The Santa Clause, a festive body horror classic!

Fun fact: this is probably one of the first movies I remember seeing in a cinema, when I was 5. I remember being unsettled that Tim Allen didn't revert back to normal at the end, maybe unconsciously realising how messed up this is.

It's Thanksgiving, which means I promote again one of the videos that I am most proud of, on the greatest movie ever set on the holiday: Planes, Trains & Automobiles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-QpA...

Hello, everyone! Just wanted to keep you updated with what I’ve been up to for the last month. It’s been a very busy month - although not as busy as I would have liked, as I’ve come down with a nasty flu and bronchitis over the last fortnight. Hoping to pick things back up very soon.

Before that, I did spend a week at the BFI London Film Festival, so you’ll be seeing some reviews from things I saw there soon, and I was an extra on a horror movie for a day too - but obviously more news on that later next year.

In long form reviews, I looked at Dwayne Johnson’s dramatic comeback in The Smashing Machine, comparing it to the documentary it was inspired from!

In Shorts reviews, a dog tries to save his owner from a supernatural presence in Good Boy; Harris Dickinson makes his directorial debut with homelessness drama Urchin; a cop goes undercover in the Tamil area of Paris in Little Jaffna; two people are trapped underground with monsters in Scurry; and Kate Mara is The Astronaut who thinks that something has followed her home.

Elsewhere, over with ‪@AllisonPregler‬ and ‪@phelous‬, I’ve edited their videos on the third and fourth entries of the Halloweentown saga, and those movies definitely get worse with each passing entry! Pretty spooky, huh, folks?

Hope you’re keeping safe and well, and hope you keep enjoying my work!

Hallow Road, with Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys, finally makes it to the US this Halloween, as part of a special double feature with Vincent Must Die. Here's my review from when it opened in the UK in May. youtube.com/shorts/A4KToVv7sD...
