More than creating content to help those learning French to enrich their vocabulary in context, it’s also a great chance to talk with people from around the world in the comment section of my YouTube channel.
I’m always happy to read and reply to the comments people leave in French. Whenever I’m releasing a new video this opportunity to talk with you guys in the comment section worth every second I spend to try to create a new piece of content that can help the community.
New French CI video (comprehensible input) will be released in the evening (France, Paris Time). Hope I can read from y’all again ✌️
Very grateful.

Hi all !
I noticed that a lots of you enjoy the "comprehensible input" format video that I have started just recently along with the podcast episode I release every Tuesday.
The "comprehensible input" format is a great way to learn vocabulary in context but also real French since none of the videos are planned or scripted. It's literally just a me and my iPhone and my day. For some of you it can be reassuring to hear that even a French native like me can make grammar mistakes as I speak spontaneously. That is mostly okay.
If you are interested in what my CI videos look like, here's the one I uploaded recently.
I'm happy to make and share those contents for you guys to use as a learning material.

Ciao ciao !

Tonton Romain’s French Immersion
My recent French Listening videos turned out to be a bit too challenging for most of you 😅
Many give up after the first listening without subtitles.
So for the next video, I’ll do:
– one listening with French subtitles
– one listening with French + English subtitles
The MCQ and grammar sections will stay the same — which is the most important part 👍

Being able to understand natural French takes time. But by regularly listening to the same audio, you'll eventually start to pick up on the nuances of the language.

To end the year on a high note, I’m releasing a new French Listening video format.
This video includes a real-life dialogue in French, followed by:
a multiple-choice questions section to test your comprehension
a grammar points section where I explain the grammar rules used in the dialogue, with examples to illustrate each one
I hope this format helps you learn French through natural conversation.
Wishing everyone a happy New Year and a great holiday season!
