வணக்கம்.

I have always been fascinated by the use of humming in enriching film songs. Here's the beginning of a series of "Guess the song from a humming".

Do listen to the brief humming (male, female, chorus) that occurs at the beginning or anywhere in a song & identify the song. Mention your answer in the comments & also let me know which song you want me to cover.

Let's go together in this journey & enjoy the experience.

The first is here

🌟 900 New Songs, 5 Languages, 3 Years: My Musical Odyssey🌟

On 4th June 2021 (1st birthday of SPB after he left us), inspired by a share of his rare duets by my dear friend Arunachalam, I started to learn some of those songs. And that small step snowballed into a marathon across 5 languages.

In this journey, I have some interesting details to share with you.

Language-wise tally

Tamil (463)
Malayalam (202)
Hindi (98)
Kannada (94)
Telugu (42)
Others (1)

I have learnt songs from 1940 till 2024 across various voices predominantly being
SPB (416)
Yesudas (186)
Mohd Rafi (65)
TMS (48)
Jayachandran (40)
MG Sreekumar (28)
PB Sreenivas (24)

I will be sharing shortly some milestone songs in this journey so far as an audio jukebox here. Please listen & share your comments.

I have a request

Now, can you suggest your favourite songs that you want me to learn? If so, please mention the song details in the comments section & if possible add an audio or video link.

I'm hoping to touch 1000 & beyond, soon, with your best wishes and support.
