β±οΈ 5 minutes left; 8 questions to go: You panic-solve 2. Leave 3 blank. Walk out defeated.
Here's what most people don't know about GMAT:
β οΈ Every blank answer = PENALTY (subtracted AFTER scoring your correct answers)
Think it doesn't matter? Check this:
π€ Maria: 15 correct out of 17 attempts (88% accuracy) + 6 blank = V75
π€ Alex: 16 correct out of 23 attempts (70% accuracy) + 7 wrong = V80
Alex scored LOWER accuracy but HIGHER score.
Those 6 blanks cost Maria 5 points = 40 PERCENTILE DROP π¨
The GMAT doesn't just score what you get right. It penalizes what you don't attempt.

"How we phrase the questions we ask ourselves determines the answers that eventually become our life." - G. Keller
PAUSE. And read again.
Hit home?
Well, to the ones who are preparing for their GMAT journey, it's even more relevant!
Because there is ALWAYS an answer to why you are where you are and HOW to reach where you want to be.
You just need to ask THE RIGHT QUESTIONS. π‘
β For example, "Instead of 'Why can't I improve?'
β ask 'What's the ONE thing blocking my progress?'
β Instead of "Why did I get this wrong?"
β ask 'Where exactly did my thinking break down?"
Suddenly, you see THERE'S A PATH FORWARD.
The right question is like a "diya" β it doesn't just show you where you are. It lights the way to where you're going. πͺ
Wishing you and your loved ones a Diwali filled with light, wisdom, and the curiosity to ask the questions that will lead you where you want to go. β¨
P.S. This is also a gentle reminder from us to you - our Diwali offer ends today.
If you're ready to ask the right questions and get the right answers in your GMAT journey β let's start together π

You read the RC passage perfectly. You feel confident. YET, you get the inference question WRONG. β
Why? Because your brain saw what it WANTED to see, not what the author ACTUALLY argued.
Here's the blind spot that traps 32% of test-takers. π
βββββββββββββββββββ
π THE PASSAGE:
WWII labor shortage β employers recruited women for manufacturing β Women trained in technical skills β Newsletters celebrated and managers praised women's contributions
Nevertheless women dismissed immediately when soldiers returned and reassigned to lower-wage roles.
β THE QUESTION:
Wartime employment of women:
(A) Led to lasting improvements
(B) Demonstrated genuine commitment to equity
(C) Represented temporary adjustments
(D) Successfully challenged traditional patterns
βββββββββββββββββββ
π° WHAT YOU DO (The Trap):
"They recruited women... trained them... celebrated them... that's PROGRESS!β
β Answer (D) - successfully challenged traditional patterns. Perfect match!"
π What 90th Percentile e-GMATers DO:
"Recruited women... training... celebrations...WAITβ'Nevertheless' is a signal word. Nevertheless, women were dismissed immediately...'
This is PERSISTENCE structure. DESPITE surface improvements, discrimination PERSISTED."
β Pick (C)- 'temporary adjustments' β YES, matches the structure β
βββββββββββββββββββ
β οΈ THE PERSISTENCE TRAP:
You mistake temporary adjustments for permanent changes. The GMAT tests whether you see SURFACE changes or STRUCTURAL patterns.
Once you recognize this structure, trap answers become obvious.
