Dear friends and supporters, Hope you're doing great! I'm very glad to announce that today has been released the new video for the closing track "Anemos" of my latest album "Little Floating Oracles", released via Lady Blunt Records on Oct. 2022.
The video is a visionary drifting of symbolical elements that brings to dialogue two undefinable subjects: the time and the essence of life, like water perceived as mercury, an alchemical element, liquid metal - viscous fluid, dissolving in an almost static atmosphere, a timeless journey between darkness and the first rays of sunrise. The breath sounds find in the rustles of waves their counterpart as if they were the breaths of the solid rock or the whole Earth. The continuous exchange between movement and state of stillness, contributes to the detachment from the concept of “harmonic life”, introducing a drop of unpredictability, belonging to the impossibility to fully understand the dynamics of life.
Chiara De Maria translates this assumption through surreal and dreamlike visions, which interrupt the linear narrative by introducing and interweaving layers not directly related to the perception of the narrative that defines the nativity theme, striving not to define it from an anthropocentric view but opening up to the vastness of universal life in all its many facets and contradictions.
The 7-tracks album blossom around the concept of fetus, perceived as a physical incarnation of the cosmic essence which contains the endless knowledge of an Oracle. I translated into sound the beauty and power of this assumption, recreating the atmospheres and going deeper into the various ancestral states of a new life in formation.
The artwork has been designed by Riccardo Franco-Loiri, a Turin based visual artist who combined studies on embryology and scientific aspects with atavistic knowledge regarding the otherworldly soul, taking inspiration from the Upanishads, to literally give life to a piece of art that deepen its roots into a surreal environment in which symbolic forms and dynamism coexist.
The album was mixed by Lorenzo Setti and Davide Bombanella at The Groundfloor Studio (IT) and mastered by Lawrence English at Negative Space Studio (AU).

Sometimes looking back is an important act, even if most of the times it is not emotionally simple at all. It helps us moving the focus of our awareness not exactly on what we did or didn't do, but on the path that brought us to the here and now. I'm feeling so many emotions by introducing you to my new website, designed in collaboration with Chiara De Maria, who has curated several aspects of it as well as being instrumental in the choice of all the scattered bricks on my path, that led me to the person I am now. The idea behind the site is to share an overview of my background but above all to keep you updated with the continuous evolution of my projects and all the present, past and future collaborations. - In my website is also available the compilation "Sound of Solidarity" which includes 2 volumes with the unreleased tracks of 41 artists from 10 different countries and whose revenue will be donated entirely to the Червоний Хрест України (Ukrainian Red Cross).
