Vintage girl in a modern world — where nostalgia meets sustainability.

Step into a slower way of living inspired by the 1940s, where frugal habits, thoughtful routines, and timeless fashion are lovingly re-imagined for today. I share a world shaped by the past and guided by mindful, sustainable choices.

New videos uploaded every fortnight on Sundays at 2pm (AEST). If you’re drawn to cozy nostalgia, intentional living, and finding beauty in doing things the old-fashioned way, I’d love for you to join me and together we can make a meaningful difference in our world— one small, vintage-inspired step at a time

This week I share a part 2 to 1940s habits that just make sense. Yes some of these habits may have occurred before the 1940s but they highlight the importance of resourcefulness and caring for what we have. #vintageliving

Have you ever heard of the Golden Dressmaker? It was an Australian pattern book produced in the 1950s that allowed homemakers to self draft clothes patterns for themselves and family.

Today, I am sharing a visual guide of how to use the book, draft your own patterns and sew them. This method of sewing is not for everyone as it doesn’t come with instructions on how to construct the actual garment. I share tips on how to over come this too.
