Dharitri is Odisha’s No.1 trusted Odia daily, committed to delivering credible news, insightful analysis, and inspiring stories that echo the voice of Odisha. 🗞️🌏
Founded on November 24, 1974 by the Samajwadi Society in Bhubaneswar, Dharitri was envisioned by legendary litterateur Kalindicharan Panigrahi and nurtured by his daughter, Nandini Satpathy — Odisha’s only woman Chief Minister. From its inception, Dharitri has offered readers a fresh, independent, and thoughtful perspective.
After switching to offset printing in 1986, Dharitri discovered its true identity in the late 1980s and 1990s under Editor Tathagata Satpathy, becoming the voice of the subaltern and standing apart from politically patronized dailies.
As the only impartial Odia newspaper, Dharitri has earned the trust of generations through responsible journalism and innovative content.
