Dont get panic, dont overthink, dont just think that its impossible. Kaise hoga, syllabus complete nahi hai, answer toh ek bhi nahi likha hai, notes bhi final nahi hai ki konse padhu, short notes bhi nahi banaye abtak..samjh nahi aa rha kya karu. ye course join karu, ya wo karu. Result aane ka wait karu, ya abhi se start kar du..many many questions might be going in ur mind. But relax..take a deep breath in...and out..in and out..in and out..😂 theek hai, in out band kar do...kaam ki baat karte hai See, going straight in the topic - You r going to write mains examination. So from which notes u read, u read in detail or in short. aapne kitne hours padha, konsa course join kiya tha ya self prep kiya...isme se kuch bhi aapka score decide nahi karta hai. aap exam me kya likh ke aate ho, kis tarah se ans likhte ho, kaise que ki demand ko address karte ho..ispar depend karega aapka score. lets be very clear, writing is not easy as we feel. hame lagta hai, ki agar mene pura syllabus 3-4 baar agar padh liya toh phir que kuch bhi aaye, ans toh likh hi lunga but keep in mind that writing ans is not just about writing content. Content is just one part of it, but its articulation, structuring, keeping it precise and to the point, maintaining logical flow of arguments, underlining keywords, mentioning scholars and their work...there r many aspects to ans writing, which not only comes after reading topic, but comes only with regular ans writing practice. Surely u need to read content - but u must also need to understand - the appropriate way of reading content. because what u read must be in line with what u want to write. So basically when u keep practicing answers, u realise the lacuna of where u r behind and then u can re-approach the content again with more specific approach. So by ans writing, ur content reading becomes better and sharper. And also accordingly ur revision strategy also gets redesign. Learning things of ans writing takes time to incorporate in actual ans, so working upon them early always give us a leverage of time, within which we can work and improve comfortably.
Make sure that u practice at least around 500 que ans for PSIR alone within the duration of mains, so that u become pro in writing ans. with this, u will end up touching every topic and subtopic of the syllabus mutliple times, u will be able to generate content by ur own due to good hold over content through practice. Most importantly u r now used to write ans of any que as u have practiced a lot. And more than anything else, ur mind's capacity to process content, arguments, linking examples and theories - this capacity enhances drastically. Because integration of theories, examples and arguments is only possible with aggressive and continuous practice. Kuch chijo ko karne ke liye practice ke alawa koi option nahi hota. Prelims jaisa elimination walishort cut yaha kaam nahi karti. agar aapka subject me understanding nahi hai, aur enough practice nahi hai, aap achha ans nahi likh paoge. There is not short cut, there is smart way. That is regular ans writing practice.
the most serious crime we do throughout our lifetime is we underestimate ourselves a lot. Kabhi lagta hai ki mene apne life me kuch kiya hi nahi, kabhi lagta hai mene sabkuch khoya, sab barbad kar diya, bohot kuch sacrifice kiya. Kuch paane ke liye sabkuch piche chor ke aa gaya, aur kuch paa bhi naa saka. har koi successful ho raha hai apne life me, me hi kahi stand nahi kar paa raha hu.
if u feel the same, its not unique, everyone feel the same, even the one to whom u admire, even the one who u feel r successful.
Dont forget that where u r, this was not easy. Leaving everything behind and choosing this struggle was matter of courage. Showing this courage going against all odds is rare and exceptional quality which very few have. There are many who cant even dare to leave their jobs, or their settled easy life to choose the life which u have choosen. This decision was simply a matter of courage. After many small successes in life, including, scoring merit in 10th, 12th, doing decent in graduation, securing job, leaving that opportunity and again becoming a Monk who left his everything behind and starts from scratch to achieve something which is as unpredictable as UPSC....its really the matter of exceptional risk, courage and bravery. It reminds me one song - if u get time pls listen to that, " Sindbd the Sailor, ek jahaj me jab chadha"...its very very relatable song for all of us.
Dont forget that u r that Sindbad the sailor, jisko sabne kaha ki in samndaro me jana nahi, ye gehra hai, isme bohot unchi lehre hai, jahaj dub sakta hai, in sapno ke piche jake kuch milega nahi, mat jao par ek din aap sahil tak poch hi jaoge. U will prove everyone wrong, u will prove the journey u started was worth touring. Because destination u will reach will tell the story of ur journey.
Dont forget, u r the one who choose the toughest paths over the easier one - which entire world chooses. U r among those few who walk this road, which is not easy. So tell urself who u r. u have seen many odds, u have come so far. u have won many battles, u have sacrificed easy life. aur pata nahi kisne kya kya sacrifice kiya hoga...kisine ghar, family, loved ones, friends, money etc. Always remember, story is not about success, its about the efforts u put in. U have invested so much into this risky tale of UPSC, which shows that u r not ordinary. U r exceptional, extraordinary, brave and ...the one who will be soon finishing the journey from a Dreamer to Achiever. From aspirant to Topper. isliye mat bhulna tum kaun ho...tum kuch ho...tum bohot kuch ho.
