🏉 Imad Reyal @imadreyal Imad Reyal
Born in Kandy, Sri Lanka, Imad Reyal has built a remarkable rugby journey that spans Sri Lanka, the UAE, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
A proud product of St. Anthony’s College, Kandy and Trinity College, Kandy, Imad made his name as an exciting Fullback, Scrum-half, and Fly-half, known for his blistering speed, sharp footwork, trademark goose-step, and fearless attacking counter-play.
Representing the United Arab Emirates National Rugby Sevens and XVs teams, Imad announced himself on the international stage at the 2011 Dubai Rugby Sevens, scoring a memorable solo try against Samoa that captured the attention of rugby fans across the region.
His international rugby career also includes representing the Middle East Touch Rugby Team at the World Cup level, while helping the UAE secure the Asia Rugby Championship Division II title and achieve promotion to Division I in 2016.
Throughout his career, Imad has worn the colours of some of the region's most respected clubs, including Dubai Exiles, Abu Dhabi Harlequins, Jebel Ali Dragons, Tiger RFC, Kandy Sports Club, Tepuna RFC, Greerton Marist RFC, Old Northamptonians RFC, and competed on the GB Sevens circuit with Achachs 7s and Wailers 7s. He also further developed his game through New Zealand's Inside Running Academy.
A true ambassador for Sri Lankan rugby talent abroad, Imad's story is one of passion, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to the game.
