[Ted thinks for a moment, wondering what sandcastle he should make. Then, he suddenly has a brilliant idea! A casino resort! Ted quickly decides to get to work, and starts building it]
Ted: Hello there Kent. Here is my sand castle. Pretty good I’d say, and…. I think I did enough to ensure a…. Win. Anyways, here’s everything I did! So, I decided to make a casino because, for better or for worse, it has become a huge part of my life. Before, I was living a dead end life, as a boring accountant. I was making money, but I wasn’t personally satisfied. Then, my wife, then co worker, took me to a casino, and I just fell in love with playing poker. I was rusty, but I had a lot of potential. I knew it was something I had to chase, so I left my job, and started my career in poker. It sucks, and often times, I didn’t want to come back to the casino. But I stuck to it, and I can say the casino has helped me a lot, even if its not perfect. Without further ado, here’s my sandcastle!
Entrance Area:
For the entrance area, I made a walkway to the casino! What I did was I took the sand, and molded it into two walls, facing the entrance door of the casino. Then, I used a palm leaf, and carefully put it above the entrance walls, for shade basically. To ensure it wouldnt fly away, I used tips of twigs, and put them around the walls, and used some of my shoe laces to tie down the leaf, so it couldnt fly away. I also created a vertical Sand Rectangle, and carved out the words “The Tedtastic Casino!” as its the name of my establishment. Finally, for some decorations. I tore up a palm leaf, and spread it around both the entrance, and the outside of my casino resort. There meant to be plants and shrubs, and add to the decor of it. Finally, to the left of the entrance, you probably see the awesome miniature statue of myself, made of Sand. Looks pretty realistic, I must say.
The pool:
Now, before I explain the actual building, I would like to show you the pool area. Every good casino needs a pool! Its like how you cant have peanut butter without jelly, or me without poker! Now, this was pretty simple to make. First, I made a fence around this area, a smaller one, 3 sided. Its right next to the casino, so the only way to get into it is to enter from the casino. I also made a mini bouncer guy, out of sand, and he’ll chase all the deliquents, like perhaps Duncan, who wants to get into the pool, free of charge. Oh yeah, for the pool, I just made a small hole in the beach, and got some water from the ocean, and poured it in. To the side, I also made a bar area. I made one bare area, using sand. It has the outer edges, and an interior space where a bartender can give drinks from. I also used some sticks, and a palm leaf, and used that to make a roof, similar to what I did for the entrance area. Finally, I raided the staff tent on redemption island, you have a lot of them… geez. I didn’t take much, just the mini umbrellas you put in cocktails and stuff, and put them around the pool. I also made pool chairs out of sand, surrounding the pool, so if the guests don’t want to get drunk, or take a dip, they can just relax, and enjoy the nice weather.
The Building: Now, for my building, I wanted to add some steps first. To do this I basically went, and created on large rectangle, making sure it was aligned with the pool area and the entrance, and I made a second, smaller rectangle. These rectangles are basically steps, and I then went and built my casino on it! For my casino design, I wanted it to have multiple floors. So, I went and built one floor (basically a rectangular prism of sand) then built a flatter layer on top, then built another layer, and did this until I had 3 floors! I also made a concave roof on the top of my casino resort as well.
Now, for the intricate details of the resort building, I used the mini umbrella again for the little details. What can I say, I’m an expert soap carver. On the sides of each floor, I labeleld what its purpose is for. The first floor is the casino, the second floor is the hotel area, and the third floor is the relaxation area. Now, I couldn’t add any interior details, obviously. Buuut, If I could, the first area would have poker tables, as many as possible, around the edges. It would also have a couple of slot machines, black jack, roulette, Pachinko, and all that good stuff! But, ABSOLUTELY no bingo, ok? I’d have around 150 hotel rooms on the second floor, and finally, the relaxation area would have a bowelling ally, a spa, a gym area, a VR Room, and finally, a room full of poker tables. I mean, what the hell, life is short, might as well gamble!
Now, for the rest of the intricate details for the building, I basically did the standard things. I carved out an entrance door from the entrance, and a door that leads to the pool. On each floor, I carved out four windows on each side, and created some texture on the layers between the floors, so that looked brick like. Finally, On the roof, I carved “Tedtastic Casino” on the front side. And, for some a beach design, I added some things I could find, like small pebbles, and seashells the same size as the pebbles, and tied some seaweed around the building as well, in a way so it didn’t obscure the other details.
Now, on the room, I decided to draw inspiration from my past. I remember, mid twenties, even when I busted in all my games, I still went up to the roof for the legendary roof parties. So, I decided to incorporate here, and create my own mini roof party! I stuck the tips of twigs into the roof, and put a shell on the tips of them, as they act like pillars. I also made a dj out of sand, and boom! I created the DJ station. There is also a poker table on the roof. Simple. Just the tips of twigs, with a piece of wood on it, along with small fake cards on it. Furthermore, I drew a dancefloor in front of the DJ station, if the guests are in the mood for it. That’s basically it for the roof, although I’d say its pretty sick!
VIP Area:
Now, this is one last thing I added, adjacent to my resort. Obviously, you need to satisfy all the rich people, and how do you do so? Give me them more perks of course! So, next to it, I created their own VIP parking space. I drew some helicopter landing spaces in the sand, as well as many parking spaces for them to park their lambos, ferraris, porshes, i don’t really care. To make this more VIP, I added some extra decorations around it. I surrounded this area with small pebbles, and stuck some seaweed around it as well. Finally, I created a mini bridge area, to make it feel more royal. Created a one sided moat, and used some drift wood to make a sturdy bridge. That enhances the experience, and makes the hotel feel more… exotic.
And there you have it, my dream casino resort, built as a sandcastle! This represents me a lot as a person, and I think this is definitely the best castle out of the ones shown. It shows the most technique, and more importantly, it reflects who I am as a person. Regardless of whether or not this is my final moment on this show, you know I’ll always continue to hustle. First, we went with the tacticians because on our seasons of Disventure Drama, we were two of the best players from our seasons. We executed a bunch of schemes, and they all worked to our benefit! For example, I was able to make an alliance that took me all the way to the final 2! And, Chase made some big blindsides on his season, like idolling out Ally, and taking out Seth! Point is, we both know how to execute in games like this. Now, you might be wondering why we went with Tacticians instead of the schemers. Well, tacticians fits both of our play styles a lot better. We both know how to use chaos to dictate how other plays approach this game, and use that to control how we operate, like generals in a great army. Point is, we know how to dictate other players, which makes our name a great fit
And, we chose the color blue because all of the great tacticians wore it! For example, as you can see, I am wearing a stylish blue jacket! And, Im pretty sure Napolean, that great general from France, wore blue to all of his battles! And, if he’s in the history books, he must have been a pretty good tactician, right? Oh, and how could I forget George Washington! He too wore blue to all of his wars, and he turned out alright! So yeah, blue is the perfect color for our team, cause all the best tacticians wear it!
And yeah, that’s our team name, and color! Deserving of a win, if I do say so myself.
