A northern sanctuary of ambient, silence, and deep rest.
Here, the noise fades and the mind slows down.

Vinterdrommer is a musical journey through the landscapes of the North.

The channel focuses primarily on Nordic Ambient, Viking Folk, and Cinematic Soundscapes — blending ancient Nordic-inspired instruments, atmospheric textures, deep drones, haunting melodies, and cinematic elements.

These worlds are not confined to one sound.

Vinterdrommer also explores other musical styles, weaving them into the Nordic atmosphere to create something unexpected, immersive, and distinctly its own.

From the silence of northern fjords to ancient forests, forgotten legends, distant shores, and cinematic journeys — every piece is created to evoke a place, a feeling, or a memory.

Music for sleep, relaxation, focus, reflection, and simply getting away from the noise.

Stay close.

My dear friends,

The poll results are in, and it looks like most of you who voted would enjoy an occasional track combining the atmosphere of the **Nordic world with the spirit of the Wild West**.

That’s exactly why I’ve created a dedicated playlist for **Cinematic Soundscapes**, exploring these kinds of unexpected combinations — **Nordic Ambient, Folk Ambient, Dark Country, Dark Americana, and Outlaw Country**.

I WON’T BE INCORPORATING MAINSTREAM OR CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY INTO THE VINTERDROMMER SOUND — ONLY DARKER STYLES SUCH AS DARK COUNTRY, OUTLAW COUNTRY, AND DARK AMERICANA, WHICH NATURALLY COMPLEMENT THE NORDIC ATMOSPHERE.

Cinematic Soundscape has always been part of the core of Vinterdrommer, so creating a dedicated space for these experiments felt like the natural next step.

And honestly… I simply love experimenting. So who knows what other combinations of our Nordic sound might appear in the future. There are still plenty of musical territories to explore.

**Today, a new fusion track is coming — with a softer Nordic Ambient side and a stronger Outlaw Country character.** I’m very curious to see what you think of this one.

One final note: these fusion tracks will appear **less frequently** than the traditional Nordic Ambient and Nordic Folk releases. Those will remain the heart of the channel, while these experiments will be occasional journeys into something different.

Thank you for being here and for helping shape the direction of Vinterdrommer. 🖤

**The North meets the Wild West.**

**A Question for You, My Friends**

I’m putting up a poll because I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Should tracks that blend **Nordic Ambient, Nordic Folk, Dark Country, and Dark Americana** become a recurring part of the Vinterdrommer channel — appearing from time to time — or do you feel these genres should remain separate?

I’m asking because I already have some new ideas for combining these vibes. At the same time, Vinterdrommer is built around **cinematic structures and Nordic atmospheres**, so I’d rather ask you before taking this sound any further.

I’ll leave the decision to you through the poll.

And to make that decision a little easier, **I’m also releasing another track in this style today**, but with a slightly different musical narrative from the previous one I published in this combination.

Thank you so much for taking the time to vote and for being part of Vinterdrommer. Your engagement and support truly mean a lot to me.

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for taking part in the poll. The results are very clear—you prefer shorter, standalone pieces over the longer album-style releases.

For me, this is actually good news. Even though I only released one hour-long album each week, those videos required an enormous amount of work. They weren't simple loops built around a one-minute melody—they were complete albums made up of individual compositions, each with its own identity and progression.

I'd rather dedicate my time to crafting one piece each day and give it the attention it deserves than rush to finish an entire album every week.

That doesn't mean I'm abandoning the longer format. It will simply become much rarer and reserved for special occasions.

So what does this mean for the shorter pieces?

I don't want them to exist as nothing more than background music. Starting with today's release, every composition will become its own story. I'll be reshaping their structure so that each cinematic Nordic ambient piece feels like a beautiful tale—a journey from the distant North, unfolding through music.

From now on, you can expect **a brand-new cinematic journey every day at 18:00 CEST**.

Thank you for your incredible support, your feedback, and for being part of this journey.

Take care of yourselves.

My dear friends,

We've just completed one chapter of the Cinematic Series, which was created as a collection of individual tracks. These songs will soon be released on all major streaming platforms.

This week we'll continue with a new cinematic series. For now, we won't be returning to the 1-hour ambient albums due to my limited time. However, all of the individual tracks are organized into a playlist, so you can simply open it and enjoy them in order as one continuous listening experience.

Now I'd love to hear your opinion.

Starting next week, would you prefer that I:

return to creating 1-hour ambient albums, or
continue releasing carefully crafted individual tracks every day?

I've created a poll, and your vote will help shape the future direction of the channel.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Wishing you peace, warmth, and beautiful moments wherever you are.

Take care,
Christian – Vinterdrommer

Dear friends,

As I mentioned earlier, we won’t be returning to our regular series this week. There’s also a chance we won’t return next week either, as I’m currently working together with Lisette ‪@lisettebmusic‬

In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with a much more cinematic ambient sound, blended with elements of dark Nordic ambient. If something truly special comes out of these experiments, you’ll be the first to hear it—just like today’s track.

For now, due to limited time and the holiday season, I’ll be focusing on releasing individual compositions rather than full albums. I hope you’ll enjoy this creative journey with me, and thank you, as always, for your incredible support.

My dear friends,

I’m currently enjoying a holiday by the Baltic Sea, taking in the sound of the waves and finding inspiration in the coastline.

Because of that, this week and next week I won’t be continuing our regular Nordic ambient series. However, as some of you have already noticed, I will be sharing occasional standalone pieces inspired by the sea whenever a new idea finds its way to me. Each composition will be a small musical postcard from the Baltic, shaped by the atmosphere I’m experiencing here.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I hope these seaside soundscapes bring you a moment of peace wherever you are.

Take care, and see you soon.

Dear friends,

Because I’ve been working closely with Lisette ‪@lisettebmusic‬ and time has been a little limited lately, next weekend’s release will be a more modest 6-track EP.

We’ll continue our CINEMATIC series, this time with a slightly different vibe—warmer, more intimate, yet still deeply cinematic. I hope you’ll enjoy this new journey just as much.

The new EP will premiere on July 4, 2026, at 18:00 CEST. I can’t wait to share it with you.

If you haven’t already, please visit Lisette’s channel, listen to our collaboration, and leave a like and a comment. It truly means a lot to both of us.

And here’s a little secret… this won’t be the last time you hear about us. 😉

Take care of yourselves, stay warm, and thank you for being part of this journey.
