Faux Tales
Faux Tales is the musical project of Swiss composer and producer Timo Loosli. Combining cinematic sound design, post-rock influences, and atmospheric electronica, he creates pieces that build from quiet introspection to powerful climaxes. Light piano motifs, suspended in clouds of electronic and neoclassical sonance, echo through a swelling tide of sound, blurring the boundary between serenity and storm.

So happy to share Ripples, the third and final track from my session at the Farel Saal Biel. The piece emerged while rehearsing Solace and Adrift, just a few days before the recording. It was still a bit rough around the edges, but with about half an hour time left on the recording day, we decided to record two takes and see how it turns out. Here is the result! Also can't wait to take this setup on stage next week in Bern, Switzerland, check out Parkonia Festival if you're close!

In early March, I packed up my piano and a few analogue synths and headed to the beautiful Farelhaus in Biel. I spent the day recording three new pieces in this stunning mid-century concert hall — each one composed specifically for this setup, with the goal of capturing something raw, intimate, and true to the sound of the instruments.
Here is the first one called Solace, huge thanks to Pascal Berger for beautifully capturing the performance and the atmosphere of the space on video.
