I recently picked up a mechanical keyboard for the first time and discovered 2 things
1. I unintentionally rest my hands on the keyboard when I'm not using it and put pressure on the keys which is probably not a good thing for the switches.
2. Every single mechanical keyboard video that highlights the sound, unintentionally lies about how loud they are irl simply because of how microphones work.
