Down-Home Backyard Gardening

🌱 Hey friends, let’s rally around another awesome creator in our YouTube family! 🌱

Our friends over at Adventures with Me & T have been putting out some great videos — gardening, homestead projects, cooking, all the good down-home stuff we all enjoy — and they’re SO close to reaching 4,000 watch hours to get monetized! 🙌

Right now, they’re sitting at about 3,600 hours, so they’re on the home stretch. And here’s how we can help:

👉 Head over to their channel and hit that “Play All” button on one of their playlists.
You can let it play while you’re in the garden, grilling, or just relaxing — every bit of watch time helps push them toward that 4,000-hour finish line.

🎬 Watch their playlists here:

They’re good people doing good work, and I’d love to see our YouTube gardening community come together to help them reach that next big step.

Let’s make this happen, y’all! 💪🌻

Down-Home Backyard Gardening

🌻 Hey y’all — hope your gardens are growing strong this week!

Wanted to take a quick minute to brag on a couple of good folks — our friends over at ‪@AdventureswithMeandT‬are so close to hitting that big YouTube goal of 4,000 watch hours! 🚜💨

They’re sitting right around 3,500 and could use a little neighborly boost to cross that finish line. If you’ve got a minute (or a playlist you can let roll while you’re watering or weeding), hit Play All on their channel and help them get there.

Every view and every comment makes a real difference — so drop a note letting them know where you’re watching from, and tell ‘em Chad sent you! 🌎

We all know how much heart and time goes into these videos, and it’s pretty awesome watching good people get closer to their dreams. Let’s help them finish strong. 🌻

Our friend Bowtie David is having a Live Pepper eating contest tomorrow, link below, against another friend from across the pond, Jason Pope. Turn in, spread the word, and cheer on our friend Boetie as he risks sanity eating one of the hottest peppers in the world.

🔥 LIVE Pepper Challenge: Dorset Naga Showdown! 🌶️

This Thursday is going to be wild! Dave from Bowtie Life and Jason Pope from @Allotment-of-the-Dead are teaming up across the ocean for a LIVE pepper challenge.

They’re each eating their homegrown Dorset Naga peppers — one of the hottest in the world, coming in around 1.3 to 1.6 million Scoville units. 😳 That’s pure lava-level heat!

The stream kicks off at 3 PM Central / 4 PM Eastern / 9 PM British Standard Time, and it’s going to be full of laughs, chaos, and community fun. They’ll start with a quick pepper clip, do a little show and tell from their gardens, and about 30–40 minutes in… the Naga peppers come out! 🌶️🔥

This one’s about good humor, connection, and seeing how long two gardeners can survive the burn. Don’t miss it — hop into the live chat, bring your milk, and enjoy the ride!

Hey Y'all,
Good morning from Spring, TX, Zone 9b. We have a lot going on this week.

1. GreenStalkgarden.com is currently having a massive warehouse clearance sale. Nows the time to get a GreenStalk if yiu havent before, or to get more of them. At checkout, stack your savings by typing in Backyard10, save an additional $10.

2. These Yellow Wax Bean plants are thriving right now. Soon. I'll be harvesting delicious beans.

3. Can you see what is different?

4. Jojo is modeling for today's thumbnail for the video. Lol

5. A beautiful, upclose picture of a carpenter bee pollinating a flower. This bee couldn't have cared less that I was that close to it. 💯

I pray everyone is having a fantastic fall week in your gardens. God bless.

This massive Giant Bullet Head Wax Melon is literally the heaviest vegetable I've ever grown. Does anyone have any experience with these? I'm at a loss for what to do with it. TIA

Down-Home Backyard Gardening

It's been a very busy week. Here's a little of what's going on today in the garden.

1. Hardening off these cabbage plants, I grew from seed.

2. This small watermelon is hanging in there. Hope it makes it until it's fully ripened.

3. I've never ordered from Hoss, but I figured I'd get some garlic from them... and they came in just in time for the #garlic2026.

4. Just a beautiful picture of the garden at dusk.

5. Finally, the GreenStalk is starting to have seeds grow into plants. I can't tell you how much I love this planter.

Praying everyone is experiencing a great start to fall. Happy gardening, y'all.

Here's a little of what I have going on right now:

1. Rodent damage to this squash... you never want to see anything like that.

2. I have this beautiful cabbage that is starting to grow... It's about double the size it was when I planted it early last week.

3. Just a beautiful Cosmos.

4. I have spinach starting to grow in the new GreenStalk.

5. And finally, just me enjoying some time in the kayak out on the water over the weekend.

I pray we are all doing well in our gardens. God Bless.
