حکومتِ پنجاب نے359 مخیر حضرات کے تعاون سے پورے پنجاب میں 425 رمضان نگہبان دسترخوان قائم کیے، ان نگہبان دسترخوانوں کے ذریعے مجموعی طور پر3658،780 مستحق افراد مستفیدہوئے جنہیں عزت اور وقار کے ساتھ افطار فراہم کی گئی اور روزانہ اوسطاً 121,960مستحق افراد کی خدمت کی گئی۔
ان مخیر حضرات کو، جنہوں نے اس فلاحی اقدام میں کلیدی کردار ادا کیا ، وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب محترمہ مریم نواز شریف کی جانب سے بھرپور خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا گیا۔ وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب کی جانب سے ان حضرات کو انسانیت کی خدمت اور سخاوت کے اعتراف میں اعزازی میڈل( تمغۂ تحسین) اور اسناد سے نوازا۔

PIAM successfully conducted Day 3; held on 06.05.2026; of the mandatory 2-week online Promotion-Linked Training (BS-11 to BS-14). All 23 Sub-Inspectors from Multan, DG Khan, and Faisalabad Divisions maintained 100% attendance.
Today's training comprised three key sessions:
Financial Management –Mr. Javed Iqbal, Director Budget (Rtd.), Finance Department, Government of Punjab (practical insights on budgeting, financial discipline, and resource management)
Price Collection & Fixation Mechanism – Mr. Salman Afzal, Agriculture Economist (AMIS) (understanding market price systems and data-driven decision-making)
PAMRA Act 2018 – Barrister Mobeen Uddin Qazi (legal framework, regulatory provisions, and implementation aspects)
The sessions delivered valuable practical knowledge and policy insights, strengthening participants’ understanding of financial management, market regulation, and legal frameworks, thereby enhancing their professional capacity and effectiveness in agriculture marketing.

Dr. Kiran Khurshid, Secretary Food Safety and Consumer Protection Department, visited PR centers in District Sialkot and Sheikhupura and observed the procurement activity where in district Sialkot and Sheikhupura, the statistics of procurement were remarkable. GCI is gaining ground. Field teams and district administration is also extending full support for maintenance of strategic reserves.
District Sialkot
• Farmers registered: 1,059
• Bardana issued: Approx. 13,840 PP Bags (50kg)
• Vehicles arrived: 22
• Wheat procured: 4,716 Bags (50kg) = 235.8 MT
District Sheikhupura
• Farmers registered: 3,038
• Bardana issued: Approx. 9,840 PP Bags (50kg)
• Vehicles arrived: 48
• Wheat procured: 25,280 Bags (50kg) = 1,264 MT

Punjab Institute of Agriculture Marketing (PIAM) successfully organized a one-day online training on 30.04.26 titled as “Procurement Efficiency & Compliance under PPRA Rules 2014” for Secretaries of Market Committees and Accountants from Faisalabad, Multan, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, and Sargodha Divisions, with active participation of 66 officers/officials.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Kashif Mushtaq, Deputy Director (Admin & Finance), Forest Department, Government of the Punjab. He delivered an insightful and practical session on PPRA Rules 2014, highlighting key procedures and best practices to ensure transparency, efficiency, and strict compliance in public procurement.
The training significantly contributed to enhancing participants’ understanding of procurement frameworks, reinforcing financial discipline, strengthening accountability, and promoting efficient service delivery within the agriculture marketing system.

Secretary Food Safety and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Punjab, Dr. Kiran Khurshid conducted on ground visits on April 26, 2026 to wheat procurement (PR) centres across District Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura and Faisalabad to review arrangements and ensure smooth operations.
During the visits she assessed facilities, monitored procurement processes and directed staff to maintain transparency, efficiency and timely support to farmers.
The Government of Punjab remains committed to facilitate farmers and ensure a seamless wheat procurement across Punjab.
