سیکرٹری فوڈ سیفٹی اینڈ کنزیومر پروٹیکشن ڈاکٹر کرن خورشید کی زیرِ صدارت اہم اجلاس منعقد ہوا، جس میں متعلقہ اتھارٹیز اور اداروں کے قوانین، مجوزہ ترامیم اور انتظامی اصلاحات کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا گیا۔
اجلاس میں پنجاب ایگریکلچرل مارکیٹنگ ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (PAMRA)، پنجاب فوڈ اتھارٹی، پنجاب حلال ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی، کنزیومر پروٹیکشن، ڈائریکٹوریٹ جنرل انفورسمنٹ اور سلاٹر ہاؤس ایکٹ سمیت متعلقہ قوانین کو جدید تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ بنانے کے لیے مختلف تجاویز پر غور کیا گیا۔
ڈاکٹر کرن خورشید نے ضروری قانونی ترامیم کو جلد حتمی شکل دینے، شکایات کے بروقت ازالے کے لیے واضح ٹائم لائنز مقرر کرنے اور ادارہ جاتی کارکردگی مزید مؤثر بنانے کی ہدایت کی۔
مجوزہ اصلاحات کا مقصد قانونی خامیوں کا خاتمہ، زیرِ التوا مقدمات میں کمی، شفافیت و انتظامی بہتری اور فوڈ سیفٹی و زرعی مارکیٹنگ کے نظام کو جدید خطوط پر استوار کرنا ہے۔

پنجاب فوڈ اتھارٹی (PFA) اور پنجاب حلال ڈویلپمنٹ ایجنسی (PHDA) کے اشتراک سے “فوڈ اینڈ نان فوڈ حلال سمٹ 2026” کا انعقاد
سمٹ میں حلال قوانین کے مؤثر نفاذ، صارفین کے حقوق کے تحفظ، معیاری مصنوعات کی فراہمی اور پاکستان کے حلال ایکو سسٹم کو عالمی معیار سے ہم آہنگ کرنے پر زور دیا گیا۔
معاونِ خصوصی سلمیٰ بٹ نے کہا کہ حلال قوانین پر مؤثر عمل درآمد کے لیے پنجاب فوڈ اتھارٹی کو خصوصی اختیارات دیے گئے ہیں۔ حکومتِ پنجاب محفوظ، معیاری اور مستند حلال مصنوعات کی فراہمی یقینی بنانے کے لیے تمام متعلقہ اداروں کے ساتھ مل کر عملی اقدامات جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔

In a historic stride toward realizing the Digital Punjab vision of Hon'ble Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Food Safety & Consumer Protection Department (FSCPD) has officially unveiled three groundbreaking digital applications. The landmark initiative was formally inaugurated by Ms. Salma Butt, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, under the strategic leadership of FSCPD Secretary Dr. Kiran Khurshid.
The pioneering suite of applications includes:
1. Consumer Protect Application – A direct redressal mechanism for citizens.
2. Restaurant Star Rating Application – Empowering consumers to make informed dining choices through transparent hygiene and quality metrics.
3. Automated Inspection Scheduling Application – Ensuring unbiased and data-driven regulatory oversight.
These technology-driven interventions are designed to fortify the fundamental rights of Punjab’s citizens - specifically their right to consumer safety, right to information, and right to be heard. By digitizing core functions, the department is not only enhancing transparency across field formations but also significantly strengthening regulatory accountability and improving the overall speed and efficiency of service delivery. This marks a new era where consumer protection is no longer a bureaucratic process, but a digital right at the fingertips of every citizen.
وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب محترمہ مریم نواز شریف کے ڈیجیٹل پنجاب وژن کو عملی جامہ پہنانے کی جانب ایک تاریخی پیش رفت کرتے ہوئے، محکمہ فوڈ سیفٹی اینڈ کنزیومر پروٹیکشن (FSCPD) نے تین جدید اور انقلابی ڈیجیٹل ایپلی کیشنز کا باقاعدہ آغاز کر دیا ہے۔
اس اہم اقدام کا افتتاح معاونِ خصوصی برائے وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب محترمہ سلمیٰ بٹ نے کیا۔ اس منصوبے کی تشکیل اور کامیاب تکمیل میں محترمہ سلمیٰ بٹ کی مسلسل رہنمائی اور سرپرستی کو کلیدی حیثیت حاصل رہی، جبکہ سیکرٹری فوڈ سیفٹی اینڈ کنزیومر پروٹیکشن ڈاکٹر کرن خورشید نے ان کی ہدایات کی روشنی میں مؤثر قیادت کرتے ہوئے اس اہم ڈیجیٹل منصوبے کو عملی جامہ پہنایا۔
متعارف کرائی جانے والی ڈیجیٹل ایپلی کیشنز میں شامل ہیں:
1۔ کنزیومر پروٹیکٹ ایپلی کیشن
شہریوں کی شکایات کے فوری اندراج اور مؤثر ازالے کے لیے براہِ راست ڈیجیٹل نظام۔
2۔ ریسٹورنٹ اسٹار ریٹنگ ایپلی کیشن
صفائی، حفظانِ صحت اور معیار سے متعلق شفاف معلومات کے ذریعے صارفین کو بہتر اور باخبر انتخاب کا اختیار دینے والا نظام۔
3۔ خودکار انسپیکشن شیڈولنگ ایپلی کیشن
غیر جانب دار، شفاف اور ڈیٹا پر مبنی معائنہ جاتی و نگرانی کے نظام کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے جدید ڈیجیٹل پلیٹ فارم۔
یہ ٹیکنالوجی پر مبنی اقدامات پنجاب کے شہریوں کے بنیادی صارف حقوق، بالخصوص تحفظ کے حق، معلومات تک رسائی کے حق اور شنوائی کے حق کو مزید مستحکم بنانے کے لیے متعارف کرائے گئے ہیں۔
محکمہ اپنے بنیادی انتظامی اور ریگولیٹری امور کو ڈیجیٹل نظام پر منتقل کرکے نہ صرف فیلڈ آپریشنز میں شفافیت اور جواب دہی کو فروغ دے رہا ہے بلکہ خدمات کی فراہمی کو مزید تیز، مؤثر اور عوام دوست بھی بنا رہا ہے۔
یہ اقدام صارفین کے تحفظ کے ایک ایسے نئے دور کا آغاز ہے جہاں حقوق کا حصول محض ایک روایتی دفتری عمل نہیں، بلکہ ہر شہری کی دسترس میں موجود ایک مؤثر ڈیجیٹل سہولت ہے۔
