So in awful IRL news, the family dog has cancer. Apparently beyond help according to vets, and wildly fast onset of painful symptoms. So I’m going to travel to see him in my hometown, and need to take a few days off editing and streams.
Animals often have trouble telling us their problems, and I have no doubt he has suffered being unable to let my family know how he felt. So always pay attention to your animal companions, as their human it's your responsibility to make the effort to understand them, care for them and if possible be there for them in their last moments. Their time will always be short to us, but it's everything to them. So strive to be the loving, caring human your dog believes you are until the end. That's what I intend to do at least.

Also, the new Youjo Senki season coming out in 2026 has led to getting some messages about if I’ll be doing a video on season 2. All I can say is - maybe. Trend/view chasing aside, it would need to be interesting enough to make a video on, as I think the first video got across more or less everything I wanted to say without becoming a full on spoiler/summary video. I think if they butcher it with censorship due to <current global conflicts> then it might be worth it, if only for the discussion on anime becoming so popular and influential that actual political circumstances need to be accounted for in production.
Been playing Expedition 33 over on the stream/VOD channel too. It's been great, I really love how they’ve written the characters so far, it brings me joy that such quality can still exist. Just finished Act 1 and - goddamn. Good stuff.
Also, two smaller YouTubers I know released videos recently on the Yume Nikke game and Centuria and MAD mangas. I recently got gifted Expedition 33 by a kind chatter on stream. I’ll be playing that on Twitch and Kick after Bioshock 2 and Republic Commando are done. Both have been awesome, it's wild how games this old hold up so well. Even if I need to use a mod to make Republic function well.
I think current AA gaming is going through a waning period, where the issue is out of touch companies spending 10 million developing a cosy game for exactly 12 people and another 10 mil trying to remake fornite.
But all things pass, like how anime had multiple eras where it changed drastically, so gaming will eventually come anew. A better era is probably soon, but at the very least change will come - least for AA games, indies are printing peak constantly.

I’ve been doing all the stuff I put off until the release now, so I’m super busy. Background stuff, things to improve future videos, upgrades to editing, getting better streaming to work etc.
So, to get behind the veil on YouTuber work - I also started making shorts for my videos as a bit of advertisement, similar to what I’m doing on TikTok. Don’t worry though, I will certainly NOT be becoming a horrific shorts channel - I made a separate clips channel for that muaha - but I plan to release one or so a month on here so the algorithm doesn't hate me as much. YouTube truly dislikes the 3 month no-release channels of my size, so this is an attempt to appease the dragon.

Basically I’m trying to lock in for spreading the malignant cancer that is my channel to the masses beyond yall, and yes, even I find self-shilling cringe, but I sadly must, for if not YouTube will crush me between its not so inviting thighs of algorithmic death.
Similarly I’ll be experimenting with multistream between twitch and kick, so who knows how that will go. Thoughts so far - surprisingly not as lewd as I imagined it would be? I mean, sure the girls got the ass out during the rail shooting segments - which, is very dull for anyone wondering - but its not that over the top. They’re constantly jiggling in cutscenes like they're made of jello but meh. Maybe I’m just immune due to oversaturation. The story however is kinda interesting, and for now has kept me interested. It feels similar to Snow Break story wise, IE, a ‘GFL core’ type game - death, depression, end-of-the-world setting, ‘whats my place??’, unfeeling government and ‘weapon or girl?’ morality questions. Watch me get embarrassed in the comments when it turns out Nikke has been around for 20 years or something and GFL copied it somehow.
I sorta plan to go through gacha games whose stories I’ve heard are good, but whose gameplay doesn't interest me that much just on the side, so it won't take up much time. If you have any gacha recommendations with a good story, do throw them my way.

It's inevitable to see comparisons, and contrary to what I’ve seen other YouTubers talk about, I like it. Everyone is built off a mix of themselves, and what you enjoy, nobody can escape that. It might be arrogance, but I look forward to the day I’ll see “Wow, this is just like that idiot Detective’s hot garbage!” in someone's comments - that's how I’ll know I’ve made it.
If you play Star Rail, you probably get this sentiment but - man, I gotta feel bad for Phainon, he got placed in the NTR chair so hard with Cyrene. This is why having two gacha characters in a sort-of relationship (or even lightly implied feelings) is a rough idea for at least one of them. The main character will, inevitably, draw the girl into the harem circle - the best Phainon could have hoped for was being included in the MCs harem too, yet sadly he will have to watch from the prepared chair in the corner.
I get it from a gacha game meta standpoint - Hoyoverse can’t have a cute girl NOT love the player character! That's unthinkable! So of course the girl who sacrificed everything with a boy she grew up with for a mind boggling amount of time didn't have romantic feelings towards each other! Of course not - the whales will not pay/roll otherwise!
But I can’t help but feel bad for the guy. It's like this arc sets up a love story for him and Cyrene, then we as the player character just smash through the wall and steal his gf - along with all the other women in his life - while patting him on the shoulder. At least he has his bro Mydei.
And hey, maybe in the next arc they’ll give them a sweet moment as forgiveness - or, the writers will continue to ignore it, which may be equally amusing to watch. Hell, maybe they should have her run up to him and go for a hug - but she grabs the Trailblazer instead. Imagine.
I have detailed thoughts on Amphoreus' storyline, and not all are good - don’t worry this isn't a Xianzhou “we forgot how to write” situation - but I’ll wait for everything to be finished to order my thoughts.

Also I got a community guideline strike on my TikTok, which is odd as I figured I’d get one on YouTube first, but my first time was stolen by the brainrot app instead. It was for a meme about Elster from SIGNALIS turning her school into a live-fire exercise. For those who don’t know I’ve been posting clips there of my videos for a while, which, looking behind the curtain of YouTube content man, is purely to drive traffic to the channel. Yes, I’m self-shilling - so go follow me there and help out my brothers, should the brainrot app be your toxin of choice. We can give the savages culture instead of subway surfers.
Also been smashing out MEGABONK a lot too, if it wasn't for my obsession with SOMA I’d have been doing it on stream. Highly recommended.

Scarlet Punch Time - I will make everyone who enjoys this upset: it's awful. Why? Because I hate predictable romance stories. I like the MC girl, the fact she's a punch machine who engages with politics with fists, while also having more to her character is peak. However the back and forth “I hate u” and “haha *teases u uwu*!” between her and the first prince is so damn boring and obvious that it hurts. Maybe if there was more consideration for the story, or at least the direction of the romance was not so clearly shoehorned, I’d enjoy it more. The writing of these ‘villainess girls’ being so clearly “I hate you”/ “I do not want to be with you” and yet falling in love anyway actually annoys me. Why can’t they ACTUALLY hate them? I’d enjoy seeing the prince ask her out only for her to directly tell him to take a hike. That would be actually great.
Yet, going into a villainess anime thinking this kind of plot wouldn't exist is the height of stupid, and I’m very, very stupid. Hence I shall call Scarlett a great character forced to a predictably mid villainess story. The list of good characters trapped in bad stories grows once again, if only in my opinion.
Also I’m streaming SOMA. Its peak (I’m fear the sea).
Greetings YouTube. I’m racing ahead in the video. Still lots to do, but I’m really looking forward to how angry I make all of you. I promise, for some of you, my jokes will result in death threats.
On Wuthering Waves, I am shocked so many people agreed with me about how awful it can be - even fans! We’re all banded together. They really should have redone the story from the ground up. Some asked to see how I reacted, and I have uploaded the two streams of Wuthering Waves to my VOD channel, but sadly no highlight reel - you’ll have to jump to the last 10-15 min if you wanna see me get filtered by the writing.
But also - new anime season! I’ve already gone over the new anime season shows on stream, but only watched two of them, Wild Last Boss, and Yuri Vore Adventures (Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi).
Wild Boss is Overlord at home - which isn't necessarily bad, but it's clearly what the show is inspired by. However, often a ‘Overlord clone’ screws up the core element that made Overlord work - how the MC is kinda mind-broken into being ruthless by being undead. The clones most often go with the ‘MC looks bad but is actually nice’ trope, which fundamentally misses what made Overlord work. This Wild Boss show however has signs of the MC being mentally altered by the transfer, but its early days. Conceptually I don’t think we’ll see her - the MC - ‘being evil’ it’ll probably just be aura farming and others misunderstanding her intentions, but I could be wrong. Also it being a ‘her’ does add some novelty, so it gets points for that. Either way, recommended for now, it’ll show its hand within the next 2-3 episodes.
Yuri Vore is very beautifully animated. The short of the story: local depressed teen girl who wishes to sleep with the fishes might have her wish granted by a hungry mermaid - one very particular about the timing of said dish. Depressed yuri romance is on the table, but in this first ep it didn't jump the shark on that aspect, no random passionate make out or anything. Plenty of mystery, plenty of options to develop the story, and I’m invested. However many of these shows start with good premises and get lost in the sauce, so we’ll see if they can navigate the turbulent ocean of monster-girl-yuri-vore.
Also tried catching up on Go Go Loser ranger and - wow, they dropped the pacing ball HARD in season 2. Good lord, if you’re considering it, probably go straight to the manga after S1.
And Zenless was actually fun. Played it on stream after the trainwreck that was Wuthering Waves. Still have another stream before I can make any firm calls - I’d rather finish chapter 1 - but I’m enjoying myself for now (the jiggle physics are revolutionary).

Greetings YouTube. I’m racing ahead in the video. Still lots to do, but I’m really looking forward to how angry I make all of you. I promise, for some of you, my jokes will result in death threats.
On Wuthering Waves, I am shocked so many people agreed with me about how awful it can be - even fans! We’re all banded together. They really should have redone the story from the ground up. Some asked to see how I reacted, and I have uploaded the two streams of Wuthering Waves to my VOD channel, but sadly no highlight reel - you’ll have to jump to the last 10-15 min if you wanna see me get filtered by the writing.
But also - new anime season! I’ve already gone over the new anime season shows on stream, but only watched two of them, Wild Last Boss, and Yuri Vore Adventures (Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi).
Wild Boss is Overlord at home - which isn't necessarily bad, but it's clearly what the show is inspired by. However, often a ‘Overlord clone’ screws up the core element that made Overlord work - how the MC is kinda mind-broken into being ruthless by being undead. The clones most often go with the ‘MC looks bad but is actually nice’ trope, which fundamentally misses what made Overlord work. This Wild Boss show however has signs of the MC being mentally altered by the transfer, but its early days. Conceptually I don’t think we’ll see her - the MC - ‘being evil’ it’ll probably just be aura farming and others misunderstanding her intentions, but I could be wrong. Also it being a ‘her’ does add some novelty, so it gets points for that. Either way, recommended for now, it’ll show its hand within the next 2-3 episodes.
Yuri Vore is very beautifully animated. The short of the story: local depressed teen girl who wishes to sleep with the fishes might have her wish granted by a hungry mermaid - one very particular about the timing of said dish. Depressed yuri romance is on the table, but in this first ep it didn't jump the shark on that aspect, no random passionate make out or anything. Plenty of mystery, plenty of options to develop the story, and I’m invested. However many of these shows start with good premises and get lost in the sauce, so we’ll see if they can navigate the turbulent ocean of monster-girl-yuri-vore.
Also tried catching up on Go Go Loser ranger and - wow, they dropped the pacing ball HARD in season 2. Good lord, if you’re considering it, probably go straight to the manga after S1.
And Zenless was actually fun. Played it on stream after the trainwreck that was Wuthering Waves. Still have another stream before I can make any firm calls - I’d rather finish chapter 1 - but I’m enjoying myself for now (the jiggle physics are revolutionary).
