Hey ya'll, I'm a YT Partner now! (yep, it wasn't enabled before lol).

Anyway, I like transparency - I wanted to let folks know that I WILL NOT monetize any of my older animations & collabs. Hopefully they all remain ad-free for nostalgic viewing. And if they don't... I just wanted to be clear that it wasn't my intention to monetize those videos or put them at risk of takedowns.

As a YouTube OG from 2007 - I've felt ick about enabling ads on the channel. It's an old-school mentality, mainly because the spritefan2 channel was burned in the early 2010s where YouTube was more strict on blocking & muting videos with copyrighted music.

With the new partnership status, the only videos I've manually selected for ads monetization are the two MSW videos created this past year, along with the recent (and future) 'OldSchool MapleStory Livestreams" (ChronoStory).

I'm getting all excited about the eventual release of Classic World, and the opportunity to do general 'gaming streams & videos' for the channel. So apologies to those who are mainly here for animations - which... maybe I can do something at some point, but the turn-around on those are significantly slower.

But yea - I'm primarily doing all of this for fun & excitement of Classic coming back! The plan is to play MSW now & maybe make a few more videos prior to release - then play Classic World actively its first week of its launch - then assess from there if I want to stick with being a more active 'content creator'.

So I wanted to be properly 'set-up' with all of the modern YT partnership stuff for when Classic comes. Being a maple-only content creator is not at all sustainable, nor do I expect it to be even with the increased interest of Classic, but uh... I love mushroom game! Will do this stuff as long as it's fun & I can fit it into my lifestyle :D.

Last, I just want to say that it's been awesome seeing old & familiar usernames pop into my recent livestreams. Very happy to see folks still around & appreciate you all for tuning in. I am going to be out of town this weekend, so my next ChronoStory streams will probably be sometime next week. :)

Maple Rushed 7 is coming VERY soon! :D

Our first-ever 72-HOUR rushed collab, starting: December 12, 2024 8:00 PM (PST) and ending December 15, 2024 8:00 PM (PST).

I plan to live stream myself animating here on YouTube (& maybe Twitch, LMK?).

I hope to complete the collab intro animation and formally announce the lineup before the collab starts. :D. I want to keep the full lineup a surprise, but a lot of previous collab participants, some unexpected returns, and some first-time Maple Rushed entrants will be joining us! I will say it was really difficult choosing who to invite this time. I had a short list of 40-50 people that I considered good candidates, but I trimmed it down to 16-entries to make hosting easier. (Similar size as Maple Rushed 5).

Anyway! We're excited, & I hope that this one will be a good one :D

All of the shorts are almost uploaded! Full-screen compilation video coming soon. I have a quick question along with further news below:

Updates: I did notice that my remaining videos had export errors where no audio was exported. So I'll need to go back and do re-exports and re-uploads for a few of the uploads, along with the few shorts remaining. So uploads are PAUSED until I get the time to make all of those edits. (probably 1-2 weeks).

After I fix that and get the last short uploads, I'll also make the traditional full-screen (16:9) compilation upload of ALL of the shorts.


Here are clips that still need to be uploaded:
- Fix uploads on Pink, Sync Collab, MR5 & 6
- SFC vs Scythe
- Bash Dez
- Summer Feelings MMV
- Dez Bday

Then outside of the original upload schedule, I'm going to roll back and check on clipping sections from the following:
- Mapling Times 2. (Tiger and Sushi save the day)
- Mapling Times 4. (Some of the fight loop, for music nostalgia mostly lol)
- Mapling Times 10yr Anniversary (unsure, but will find something not cringe).

Outside of that... There are a lot of shorts/clips that weren't uploaded due to it aging poorly or even me just feeling too cringe about it. ...But there may be things that I feel ok with and missed. So if you have any suggestions for additional shorts/clips to highlight that you wish to see, feel free to leave a comment!

...Ok so for the news!

I am uploading re-edits of my older videos as YouTube Shorts. There are going to be 60+ YT shorts that are scheduled to upload twice a day.. starting today..! So it's going to be a full month of Spritefan2 nostalgia. Along with some never-released videos I found. These are reformatted for vertical, and I was able to do some HD-exports on some of them. I'm excited to show clips of Mapling Times in higher quality without the screen recording watermarks. :)

I think it'll be nice as a mobile experience, to swipe through bite-sized clips of nostalgia throughout the years. I had fun prepping this, it brought up a lot of memories. On each of the uploads, I left small blurbs/commentary with some context and history of the times in the description. :P

The other benefit with YT shorts, is that I can upload/preserve sections of my videos that are no longer on the channel. I am uploading these in chronological order, so it's starting off from the beginning!

Then after all the shorts are uploaded, I'm thinking of combining all of these clips into a full compilation video, for those who really dislike the vertical format.
