Ask real questions, skip the sales pitch. Same standard I hold the videos to.
WELCOME HERE
• Career questions. The more specific, the better the answer — "34, six years in helpdesk, no degree, is this realistic?" gets a real reply. "how to devops?" doesn't.
• Disagreement. I've been wrong before and the comments have corrected me. If a video is off, say so, and bring your reasoning.
• Corrections. Wrong number, wrong date, wrong tool detail — tell me and I'll pin it. Sources appreciated.
• Your own experience, including where it contradicts mine. One career is one data point, and mine is one career.
REMOVED WITHOUT DISCUSSION
• Course, bootcamp and "mentorship" promotion, including the subtle kind. The entire premise here is that nobody is selling you anything.
• Referral links, affiliate links, "DM me for a job / guaranteed certification". Those target exactly the people this channel is for.
• Exam dumps and pirated course links. Asking for them counts.
• Contempt aimed at people who are learning. Gatekeeping about who counts as a "real engineer" is the fastest way out of here. Everyone started at zero, me included.
• Hate, harassment, spam. Obviously.
WHAT I CAN'T DO
• Review your CV individually or get you a job. Not gatekeeping — there are just a lot more of you than there is of me.
• Tell you whether YOU specifically will make it. I don't know you. The videos give you the questions to answer for yourself; that's the honest version.
• Advise on a market I don't work in. I know AWS and Azure, and Europe. Where I don't know, I'll say so.
ON THE BLUNT VIDEOS
Some of these say DevOps might not be for you, that junior roles are brutal, or that a certificate you paid for won't get you hired. That isn't discouragement and it isn't rage-bait — it's what I wish someone had told me. Argue with it. Just argue with the argument.

Most DevOps content is an advert for something — a course, a bootcamp, or a career that's supposedly always great. This isn't that. You get the good and the bad, including the parts that make a worse advert.
Seventeen years in infrastructure — sysadmin, enterprise UNIX support, DevOps lead, head of a DevOps division, and back to hands-on senior engineer today, because that turned out to be the part I actually like. This channel is that career, opened up: what the job really is, what it pays, what it costs, and how people actually get in.

One ask: tell me where you're coming from — helpdesk, development, student, or outside tech entirely. I read the comments, and it decides what I make next.
And if a video ever talks you out of this career, it did its job. Better to find that out here, for free, than three years in.
