Oh, oh!!! Tablet/editing suite has "died."
Low battery is the issue. Without warning, this just occurred last night. One year and 40 videos, so about 600 hours of computer use for $300 U.S.
Chuwi Hi10 XR is the model. Potential replacement batteries are difficult to find online and could take a month to ship from China.
Besides the cost, the tablet's attractions are the Windows 10 Operating System and the 6GB of RAM, a minimum for editing and rendering at 1080p without annoying lags or waiting time.
Four years of Borders on Budgets and this is the first significant technical malfunction. Overall I can't complain. However, I'm in a holding pattern not knowing when or how the issue will be resolved.
Perhaps the easiest and fastest solution would be to purchase a new tablet in Cartagena for $500 U.S., of which I'm reluctant. In addition to the cost, a replacement battery itself appears to be $20 with an estimated $50 for a professional installation.

Hey Everyone! In the town of Xilitla within the Biosfera Sierra Gorda, I'm experiencing humidity for the first time in Mexico after four months.
The view is excellent from the hostel and here is my morning coffee.
