I wrote "Get It To Streator: Where Conrail Meets Santa Fe" in October of 2023. This song tells the story of the town of Streator, Illinois, where Conrail and Santa Fe would interchange traffic outside of Chicago to help speed up the flow of freight traffic across the country.The song is told from the standpoint of a freight agent, who is selling a potential shipper on the benefits of shipping their freight on the Conail and Santa Fe by way of Streator.
