For years he tried to raise a normal, productive member of society. Instead, he got a son who yells at frozen pizza, seeks out Indian food like an addicted maniac, ranks French fries like it's the NFL Draft, and has somehow convinced 94,000 people to watch him investigate snacks for a living.

I'm pretty sure this isn't what he had in mind. But here we are.

Even at this age I had already: 🫡 Conducted 37 cookie investigations. Rejected vegetables on national security grounds. Demanded "just one more snack" with the confidence of a man negotiating world peace.

Some people wanted to be firefighters or astronauts. I wanted to become the world's leading authority on judging snacks and dispensing snack justice.

History books will tell you this was school picture day. They won't tell you it was taken 14 seconds after I asked where the snacks were and 3 seconds before I asked where the other snacks were.

In Seoul, street food vendors speak of a bald man with glasses oozing with charisma who once shut down an entire market with a single raised eyebrow and the words "I've had better." They call him "The Verdict". Children are told this story at bedtime.
In London, they know him as The Guvnor. A Pret A Manger once changed their entire sandwich menu after he walked past and slowly shook his head.
In Las Vegas they still call him Snack Daddy. He does not love this but allows it.
