During the press conference held in Tokyo, Japan, the Honda Global team presented seven key points regarding the Indian market.
1. Honda plans to launch 10 more models before 2030, including cars, 7 SUVs for the global market, and a few for the Indian market.
2. The upcoming SUVs will utilise the maximum number of parts from the Elevate platform.
3. The batteries will be sourced from CATL’s LFP cells, and the batteries will be assembled in Indonesia specifically for the Indian market.
4. Honda will increase the number of hybrid cars in the Indian market.
5. There are no plans yet for performance cars in the Indian market due to the country’s infrastructure and price sensitivity.
6. There have been no announcements regarding investment in India.
7. Honda has agreed to provide Flex fuel technology in Indian cars that are in demand in the Brazilian market.
