Yesterday marks the release of Lucem Demonstrat Umbra, my first collaboration with sculptor and photographer Andrey Tischenko. I drew inspiration from one of his sculptures, which you can see on the cover. If you get the chance, you can also see it in person — along with other works of his — at Galerie Vallois in Paris, in the exhibition “Les Belles et les Bêtes”, open from today until September 27.
For the track, I mainly used synths and digital pads, but also incorporated sounds Andrey recorded during the creation of his sculptures. I tried to transform them into a soundscape capable of opening passages between the archaic and the cosmic.
