The OcCre HMS Beagle is officially finished! 🥳 But just as I was putting the final touches on the full build video… my computer decided it was done too. 💻💀
Apparently, it couldn't handle the beauty of the Beagle and rage-quit. 😅
Guess it’s time to upgrade my editing station (RIP old faithful). The video is on its way—just need to convince the new computer that rendering rigging footage isn’t a threat to its existence.

I’m thinking about creating short (3-4 min) unboxing videos for wooden ship model kits, and I want to make them as useful as possible.
What key details would you like to see in these videos? Some ideas:
🔹 Kit quality & materials – Are the parts well-made?
🔹 Manufacturing techniques – Laser-cut, CNC, or classic?
🔹 Build difficulty – My take on how challenging it looks.
🔹 First-glance challenges – What might be tricky?
🔹 Estimated build time – Quick project or a long journey?
🔹 Price range – Worth the investment?
What else would YOU like to know before buying a kit? Drop your thoughts in the comments, and I’ll do my best to include them in the videos!

🎅 just arrived early this year.
Got my BB701 Faroe Islands Fishing Yawl kit from Billing Boats. She will keep me busy throughout the holidays.
However, I had to ask: Is she a yawl or ketch? 🤔
The rudder post is behind the mizzenmast to me. Please leave what you think in the comments below.

In the fall of 1991, the Andrea Gail left Gloucester, Massachusetts and headed to the fishing grounds of the Northern Atlantic. Two weeks later, an event took place that never occurred in the recorded history.
The BB608 Andrea Gail 1:60 scale from Billing Boats is under production.
