Here’s a simple decluttering win: keep a small donation box by the door (or anywhere in the house) and drop in anything you no longer use.

When it’s there within reach, it becomes effortless to let go of things instead of letting them pile up.

Inside the Decluttering Guide & Checklists, you’ll find over 100 items to let go — room by room — to make your home lighter and calmer 👉 rlowell.com/declutterguide-checklist?utm_source=Yo…

Five years ago, around this time, I uploaded my very first video, just sharing my love for interior design, with no idea where it would lead.

Today, we have a beautiful, supportive community that has helped thousands of people transform their homes, from in-person projects to our online programs. None of this would exist without you.

Your messages, comments, shares, and trust mean more than I can ever put into words. You’ve turned something I loved into something that truly changes lives.

As the year comes to an end, I just want to say thank you for being here, for supporting this journey, and for letting me be part of your homes and stories.

Wishing you the happiest holidays filled with warmth, laughter, and time with the people you love.
I can’t wait for another amazing year with you all. 🤍

Trends fade fast, but your own taste lasts when it’s personal and grounded.

A better question isn’t “Does it look good?”
it’s “Will this feel good to live with every day?”

If a choice looks great in photo but ignores comfort, or how you actually use your space, it won’t age well.

My Timeless Home Design Cheat Sheet shows you how to spot choices that last, and avoid ones you’ll regret 👉 rlowell.com/timeless-cheatsheet?utm_source=Youtube…

Which pile is haunting you right now: clothes, kitchen cabinets, or that “misc” items? 😅

Here’s a quick win: start with easy stuff first, like expired products or things you no longer need, to build momentum.

I’ve broken down 100 + items you can let go of, room by room, in my free Decluttering Guide & Checklists 👉 rlowell.com/declutterguide-checklist?utm_source=Yo…

Don’t float your artwork halfway up the wall, hang it so the centre sits around 57–60 inches (~150cm) from the floor.

Alternatively, leave about 6-15” (15-25cm) of space between the bottom of the artwork and whatever is underneath (sofa, console, sideboard).

That’s eye-level for most people and keeps it connected to your furniture instead of looking “lost.”

Little adjustments like this instantly make a room feel more polished.

Start any room layout with the biggest piece, your sofa, bed, or dining table, and give it breathing room.

Once that anchor is in, the rest falls into place much easier.

As a rule of thumb, leave about 30–36” (75-90cm) or 24” (60cm) in smaller spaces for easy walkways.

Does your living room feel almost right but not quite pulled together?

It’s usually the small details: curtain height, rug size, or lighting, that make or break a space.

Here’s a quick one: hang curtains halfway to two-thirds between the window top and the ceiling to instantly lift the room.
