Wrote this as I stared at a bowl of soup for about an hour. I was praying over what this community needed and God brought me back to my rookie season. The season that, to the world I was living my best life, but in reality I was at my lowest and most unhealthiest time. A time when God was the only one who truly saw what I was going through, and who truly saw the real me... underneath the fake hair, fake tan, fake nails, fake makeup, fake smile...

It's been 5 years since my rookie year, since getting help and going into recovery. Some days are good, and then there's some days where I still take 2 hours to eat one bowl of soup. But I always think back to that season, and how far I've come, and how grateful I am that God never gave up on me and always fought to remind me of who I was, not who I saw.

As I was eating, and looking back at those memories, I opened my notes app and asked God who do I wrote to? And I just heard Him say "write to her."

So this is for me. And this is for you. Because neither of us are alone in this journey.
